Dartmouth @ RPI, Saturday, 3/2/19

Re: Dartmouth @ RPI, Saturday, 3/2/19

Bad habits came back with Hayhurst and Polino.

We were doing a heck of a lot better without them.

They were playing like a team without them because they had to. With them back, the rest have a tendency to sit back and let them do the work. The defense has had more lapses yesterday and today than in the previous 4 games combined. This last goal and the last yesterday a man was left totally alone within a few yards of the goal for a clean open shot. Savory might be a little to blame on the first goal against tonight as he saw it clearly, but the other two he had no chance.

That 3rd one was weak side; we've had that problem since Smith started here.

You don't mean Yale, you mean Brown, right?

Although I do see a scenario where Yale falls to #6. You're more astute than me in this scenario.

Now we're just playing stupid. Leppänen in the crease to negate Hayhurst's break, and then a dumb penalty.

Extremely weak side when you have absolutely no one defending against! I cannot recall seeing so many opposing players left so totally free for the cross ice pass.
