The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Schroeder: "When you drive the net hard good things happen". John Burke should get him to give that speech to the women's team, who spent this afternoon shooting from a distance and having their shots blocked.
Union is tied with Harvard, 2-2, at the end of the third. The Dutchmen, for the third consecutive game, will venture into overtime, which has been anything but kind to them.
It was a come from behind win! That sure tasted good!
Seemed to me we started taking the body more around mid-way in the second period. Milos Bubela had two nice hits near the end of his shift. Teammates picked it up, changing the tone. Except for some intervals, we shaped play and Dartmouth just couldn't skate around anymore. Both goals were from in close.
The team played for sixty minutes tonight and got the game winner with little time to spare.
Liljegren is even better in person. He and Bubela seem to have some good chemistry.
We were the better team tonight, but we still don't create nearly enough scoring chances.
I would really love to see Laliberte and Neal step up, but maybe they need Zalewski and Haggerty. (oops. they are gone).

Laliberté is nervously shooting. Someone must have said something to him about taking more shots, so he's doing so. Unfortunately, most of them are getting blocked by forwards. There was a really glaring one that just about turned into a rush last night. Over-compensation, perhaps? A good drill would seem to be to scrimmage the PP vs PK and just look for lanes. Get it somewhat close (as re-directions seem to work quite a bit).
