Plattsburgh State is 5-6-1 vs Top 15 teams. Just sayin'.

Re: Current Eastern PWC - Comparisons Won

Everyone just needs to keep in mind that the numbers below don't have much meaning to them. It all about how the committee interprets the criteria.

For example. Team A can beat Team B 2-1 in criteria. Team A wins the win% and record vs common opponents but Team B has a much tougher SOS. This could be easily tipped in favor of Team B especially if the win% and common opps record is close.

That said, I should have this weeks projections up shortly. Hopefully Josh will follow so I can show him how wrong he is.

Re: Current Eastern PWC - Comparisons Won

Morrisville and Buffalo are each just 1 game over .500. I can't see either of them being ranked, which, of course, is a good thing for Plattsburgh since they are 1-3 against those two teams....

Screwy system if it's better to lose to an unranked team than a ranked team. But there is much about the system that is even more silly

WARNING: TIC response ahead...

I'm sure the NCAA is all ears if someone has a better system...

Seriously, though, I'm not sure I like the Div I system any better....North Dakota saw themselve drop from #2 to #5 on a night they didn't even play (a Thursday) because Robert Morris lost a game to Canisius. They rocketed right back up the #2 the next day (they didn't play that night either) when Robert Morris won a game.

I know it's TIC, but there is no fixing it because the system seems to be a better fit in other sports, and, of course, we know the official position on D3 championships is that they all have to be administered/selected/seeded from the same set of rules.

What I like the least is the "smoke filled" phone call. I just would prefer that the system be more transparent - like the way it is in DI - that system leads to some oddities, but everybody can follow the process without having to guess.
