Both possible, the first more so than the second. The Democrats did themselves harm by holding what are looking to be flawed primaries yesterday. Bummed out Bernie Bros.

The situation evolves hourly so it is difficult to see trends, but the President is performing better recently relative to his initial response. If this continues, he will figure out that he can move his mid-day briefings to prime time. That platform, Bernie's supporters feeling undermined by the primary process, the country getting coronavirus somewhat under control over the next few months and the stock market reflecting that? Four more years.

Exactly. There isn't going to be an election. Sniffles will be president for as long as he wants. Once he uses this little trick to stay in office then he'll say because of the Democrats his first term shouldn't count and demand a third term. That will go to SCOTUS. Any guess how they'll rule?

Who is going to stop him? Any Republican who even thinks of standing up to him is lambasted by his propaganda outfit. Bolton is a secret plant of the Deep State. Romney is a lefty who wasn't even invited to CPAC. McCain had brain damage because of his time as a POW. And on and on. The Senate had its chance. They did nothing. Susan Collins was right: he did learn a lesson; just not that lesson. He learned he can do anything and the GOP won't flinch and his supporters will never abandon him.

Now? How ironic, they are going to buy off the voters with cash.
I’m all for economic stimulus, just find it ironic who supports it now .

It does seem you are arguing with yourself. You said it can’t be done but you attached an article explaining exactly how it can be done.

It matches perfectly. There is no election. He goes straight to the state legislatures and asks them to name electors and "elect" him president again.

Not at all. I said the Feds can't officially cancel an election. But, it doesn't mean an election can't be cancelled. They are not contradictory statements. Read my words carefully.

Trump declares emergency, repub states do his bidding, he’s stays president . In my book, fed(trump) just cancelled it.
