COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

It drives me nuts when provincial knuckleheads who have never seen a map write of the lower (southern) peninsula as "northern Michigan." It tars actual yoopers with the same brush as these geniuses. North UP, South DOWN

That’s not the actual terminology? Outside of NMU, the only time I see Northern Michigan referenced is talking about something north of Mt Pleasant to the bridge. Then the UP is its own entity.

Northern Michigan is everything north of the Tri-Cities/Mt. Pleasant all the way to the bridge. Everything north of that is Da Yoop.

Don't let the Yoopers try to tell you any of that malarkey about everything south of the bridge being Detroit. ;)

So they've tested every single sailor on the USS TR. 60% of those who tested positive were asymptomatic. In a disease that kills 3-5% and twice as infectious as the common cold.

Yeah, we're going to be going nowhere soon.

US Grant already took care of the first.

I, for one, look forward to Canada liberating Minnesota and Michigan.

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

I wasn't aware of that. For some reason I recalled that we went from 12 cases to 19 cases. As I age my memory isn't what it used to be.

The country as a whole, yeah there will be some changes. But that isn't what I was talking about. North Dakota has had a total of about 400 cases. At some point in time (I'm sure you'll tell me precisely when) the US probably had about 400 cases. But if you think that because the US had 400 cases at some point and North Dakota has 400 cases now, that North Dakota is going to see 650,000+ people infected like we've seen in the US, I'm going to have to doubt you on that one.

North Dakota has 53 counties. Something like 20 of them don't even have a case, and another dozen have had exactly one. The experience in individual states or areas will not be the same as in other individual states or areas, or the country as a whole.

No **** Sherlock.

What we are telling you is that just because you only have 400 cases, and some counties currently have none, that doesn't mean that you're gonna stay at 400 cases, or that those 400 cases might balloon by a significant amount. Maybe in a couple weeks, or a month, those 400 might be 4000. Especially if your state isn't taking the steps to mitigate the spread.

You sound like the Maine fans on their Facebook group who were whining and crying because first the HE playoffs were gonna be played in empty buildings, and then were cancelled outright. "But we don't have any cases here in Maine. This is all such an over-reaction." That was back in early March, I can't pinpoint a specific date. Maine had their first confirmed case on March 12. Now they've got 796, with 27 dead. Not a large number comparatively, but a number that went from 1 to almost 800 in four weeks.

And let's be honest here, your prognosticating skills re: this virus have been lacking a bit so far.

So, you're saying ND went from pretty much 0 to 400 cases in 3 weeks. I don't think that's quite the reassuring statistic you're trying to make it seem.

Speaking of morons. Here's a politician that lost his last election still sucking off the Orange Baboon.

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

Walz just reopened outdoor shooting ranges, golf courses, and other things to reopen.

In light of this:

Yeah, we're going to be going nowhere soon.

This is the first fairly bad decision he's made.

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

We liberated the Minnesota golf courses today

That's exactly the problem, which I'll accept it once we re-label everything north of Argentina as "North America." The UP is legally a part of the state of Michigan.
I'd like to have one of these people who think Michigan ends at the straits, drive from Copper Harbor to Lansing, then come back to tell me how Mt. Pleasant is in "northern Michigan."

I can’t believe some are still crying about their rights being eroded because of shut downs, isolations, etc.

Fact: Your rights end when you endanger my loved ones health or my own. End quickly.....

And I'm a trans girl. The ones crying about their rights have no problems taking away mine.

Cuomo is simply bitch-slapping dump right now... in-brief - “Thank You for doing your job”.

He has donors to appease and political realities to consider too.
