I dunno, I look at lots of numbers looking for patterns. Plus I am looking for anything that can show that perhaps things are lightening up. If every day for a few weeks we see the same amount of new cases and the same amount of death that tends to inform how I think things will continue out. We are living in a time when people are begging to reopen business and if numbers arent getting better (especially new cases) then again I think it is important people see things arent trending well.

Since our numbers are incomplete due to the inability to test on massive scales I just look at as much raw data as I can find and hope for a light at the end of the tunnel. Seeing between 1500-2000 people dying every day (and between 20-30k new cases with new hotbeds popping up every day) doesnt make me think now is the time to be discussing easing restrictions.

Worldometer hasnt updated...still at 1754. Of the top 13 states for cases 5 havent been updated yet which is why it is lagging in totals.

I don't know of any non-moron who is blaming the media. These are the same bird brains who have been beating off in public since 1994. They aren't suddenly going to get bright.

I haven't seen an actual chart, but Gov. Pritzker says we are flattening the curve. Also said we had 74 more people die from Coronavirus yesterday.
COVID-19 cases were doubling every two days as of March 22. As of Sunday, the doubling rate was down to 8.2 days.

“The fact that our doubling rate continues to increase in every metric is a clear demonstration that there is a deceleration of virus transmission. We are, in fact, bending the curve,” Pritzker said.

But the governor warned “this curve may not flatten. And it may go up again if we don’t adhere to the stay-at-home order. We need to stay the course for now for our efforts to truly remain effective.”

I can't believe how off the models were. It's almost like something happened or some action was taken that reduced the need for ventilators and beds!

Sad thing is we all predicted that was how it would be as soon as they pivoted to it being a big deal. It is pathetic how predictable they are.

Either MSN is completely whack, or we ain't opening up anytime soon. They have 6552 deaths today listed on their tracker.

Pathetic, maybe, but they're pretty sharp at creating narratives to manipulate voters. And that happens to be the way to get to the next level of this game.

Ahh, that's why. NYC is adding almost 4000 cases to its totals, patients where it was suspected Covfefe-19 may have been the cause, but they were never tested or diagnosed.
