Re: COVID-19 - Part 2
Uh-oh ... someone's in trouble now. Big Brother has weighed in, no more mingling with the rabble ...
"Echo Chamber" hahahahaha … oh, the irony. They've got 95% of media/academia/entertainment on lockdown, and yet they're whining about the remaining 5% who aren't with their program. As if those of us who see things a little differently don't have to wade through the 95% on the other side every frickin' day. And only a few posts after the <s>serial lurker</s> new guy got his lunch handed to him for not knowing what HRC actually said in her
deplorables rant.
Back to your safe spaces, begone …
Chuck,Chuck, Chuck.... I'm very disappointed in you. I admit that I was wrong about the Hillary comment and now you're claiming I got "my lunch handed to me?".

That's very interesting. Funny, there were at least three other very specific points that I raised in the post you're referencing and yet, not a single word in response to any of those so that everyone here can judge where you stand on any of them or, if you happen to disagree -- which, I assume is the case -- why it is that you disagree so we can judge if your rationale has any merit to it. That doesn't include the three or four other points you haven't responded to from much earlier in the week.
Obviously, I actually watched the video where Hillary made her "deplorables" comment. Why? Because I'm not a completely close minded, comfortable in my Fox News Fog, Trump is God conservative, who absolutely refuses to listen to or watch ANYTHING that might, just might, challenge the right-wing conservative programming I've been literally brain washed with. I actually accept the reality that I DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING.... and, am truly willing to at least listen to other points of view and perspectives. I simply believe in always trying to become a more complete human being. I've always felt that the moment I think I know it all, it's time to call it a life.
So again I'll ask, did you review the NASA website regarding climate change I linked? If not, why not Chuck? Do you really think you know everything about Climate Change? Honestly, what are you afraid of? Same thing with the NOVA special; did you even watch 15 minutes?
What about your ripping the accuracy of some of the various models of potential infection and death when they changed a couple of days ago? I provided a link to "The Scientist" magazine that clearly explains why it's much more challenging for the modelers to get it right versus other types of predictive models . Have you read any of it? Again, if not, why not?
Or, what about the question I asked in regards to what does China likely lying about their Covid numbers have to do with the Idiot-in-Chief’s horrible response to this crisis, especially considering he was first briefed on it on Jan. 3rd? Afraid that deep down inside you know you can’t really defend him?
How about my point regarding the fact that the right will do everything in its power to protect “the clump of cells” prior to birth but, once born, conservatives refuse to support funding for the various programs that would increase that child’s chances of having a successful life AND, my related point regarding how we could easily pay for those programs (along with a list of other legislation to improve the country) by simply raising the effective tax rates (including capital gains) on the top 1% and corporations to 50% , to possibly include an extra “wealth tax” on billionaires, as well as removing the vast majority of loop holes from the tax laws. Again, no response. Are you honestly saying you don’t have an opinion?
Finally, since you claimed I had my lunch handed to me, I’m now going to ask again; since that “unborn clump of cells” is sacred and should be treated no differently than a new born, shouldn’t the pregnant mother be able to receive the $500 Covid stimulus? C’mon Chuck, are you really that afraid to discuss/debate the nuances of these topics. Are you that arrogant that you think you can’t possibly learn anything new about these topics/issues? If so, that’s really too bad. Trust me, I used to consider himself a center-right person politically but, because I’ve always tried to keep an open mind, I was finally able to “see the light”.

It’s really sad that you seem unwilling to even try.
