As disgusting as they are, as far as I'm concerned if they are within the law then we cannot and should not do anything to them. The problem here is the law, and the legislature cowards who passed the law to pander to the impotent psychos.
There will always been these braindead f-cktards. The trick is to recognize and contain them before it ever gets to this point. If you create a culture where they can wave their dick replacements around in front of people then they'll do that. This shouldn't be LEO, it should be mental health. If you need to bring your gun to the state house the law should say that's an involuntary hold.

If they are within the law. If they are blocking roadways, intimidating LEOs/other officials, making threats, then all bets are off. Arrest them.

I kind of look at my dad in the same way. BERNIE WILL NEVER BE ELECTED. GET BACK TO WHAT WORKS. Still helps anti-R, just not as extreme. As a reminder, he thinks Bernie is a bit too far right.

I'd have even taken a "sane" conservative. Like DeWine in Ohio, who's smart enough to put the experts where they belong, let them do their job, and listen to them and relay that message to his people.

If a protester threatens, intimidates, or otherwise blocks/interferes with normal everyday activity (as in blocking roads, etc)...do what is needed to squash that. If they are protesting peacefully, and/or have come to an agreement with authorities beforehand, have at it.
It may not be a popular opinion that I have, but I'm consistent with protesting.
