Working around kids is exactly the best way to boost your immune system. 6 weeks in a pre-K daycare, and monkeypox gets YOU!

Seriously. Kids are broad-spectrum vaccines -- they'll give you everything your first month. They're nature's septic tank.

Covideodrome, Day 2: Wife is feeling pretty sick, I am fine. She got it from our daughter's bridal shower so that's an evergreen story. Daughter and future son-in-law both sick now too.

Nature's way of ensuring that you will be able to generate income without interruption until they finish college.

When my gf got it she had basically a sinus infection so she wasn't too bad off. Thank you Pfizer!

Is there anything Covidians won’t parrot?

Woke up with a sore throat, tested positive, and have slept 16 hours since last night.

At least we can stop quarantining. It sucked sleeping in different beds.

Mrs. Lynah tested positive on Friday, but I'm enough farther along with my symptoms that I'm still in the guest room. No need for her coughing to keep us both up. First piece of advice regarding covid: if you must get it, do not get it when you have a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old. I can't speak to whether any other ages would be just as bad, but don't do it with 2 and 4. Ugh.

Yikes.

Feel better soon, all of you.

The worst thing about COVID was going to urgent care.

How can you people stand it? Seriously. I went to an urgent care in what is effectively a gated community for people with graduate degrees and I could STILL smell the Poors from a mile away. My Doctor was from I Can't Believe It's a Medical School. The other patients waiting were... average!

Usually I have to have at least 8 drinks before willingly entering into that company.

Covid, BTW, is no fucking joke. I woke up around 9, waited for 2 hours to be seen so that I could get my antivirals ("I see you qualify because of your high blood pressure and BMI." Just give me the drugs, titty fucker). Came home in such a fog I completely forgot Cornell was in the NCAA lax title game* but then slept almost all afternoon anyway. Jesus fuck, I want today back.

* This actually turned out to be a blessing.
