WHO Information Notice for IVD Users

Therefore, healthcare providers are encouraged to take into consideration testing results along with clinical signs and symptoms, confirmed status of any contacts, etc.

Users of RT-PCR reagents should read the IFU carefully to determine if manual adjustment of the PCR positivity threshold is necessary to account for any background noise which may lead to a specimen with a high cycle threshold (Ct) value result being interpreted as a positive result.

the IFU will state that the cut-off should be manually adjusted to ensure that specimens with high Ct values are not incorrectly assigned SARS-CoV-2 detected due to background noise.

Advice on action to be taken by users:
  1. Please read carefully the IFU in its entirety.
  2. Contact your local representative if there is any aspect of the IFU that is unclear to you.
  3. Check the IFU for each incoming consignment to detect any changes to the IFU.
  4. Consider any positive result (SARS-CoV-2 detected) or negative results (SARS-CoV-2 not detected) in combination with specimen type, clinical observations, patient history, and epidemiological information.
  5. Provide the Ct value in the report to the requesting healthcare provider.

Took a little time out but responding the the thing about scumbags being first in line. I can see both sides.

Best analogy I can come up with- if you have a guy with chlamydia wandering around having sex with a bunch of people all the while claiming it should be fine and spreading a disease- you want that dude getting the treatment first- by neutralizing his ability to spread you are saving way more people being exposed than if you let it wreck his fertility and mess his pee pee up. The karma part is emotional need. (which is very, very real!)

I don't know the answer but I have to wonder how much more spread you prevent by giving scumbags the vaccine vs letting them get it and spread it. In a perfect world they would get it, get ED and fail to reproduce.
 
I dont mind Marco getting the vaccine...I mind that even after the fact he is gaslighting the people, lying about the experts and showing frontline workers no respect. I get grandstanding in July when things looked better...but now? We are going to cross 350k deaths before 2020 ends.
 
Marco will no doubt die during a botched autoerotic asphyxiation when he attempts to reach for a bottle of water. It's fine for him to get the shots.

If the racist party was really worried about law and order, and that the scumbags would not get vaccinated, dumpy would be last in line. So I'm not sure why they think common criminals should not get vaccinated.

But you bring up the right direction- the people who get vaccinated first are the most exposed and vulnerable, and then the group where the spread is the fastest. Thanks to the lack of real response, prisons happen to spread the virus pretty fast, and it gets out quickly from there.

Too bad that we had to make a science issue such a political problem, as 1) we would not be so sad about the number of deaths, and 2) it would not be a big deal that people in the racist party got vaccinated, as they would not be the most hypocritical group of people of all time. But we are where we are largely because their worship decided to make this a political problem when he fully knew how serious this would be, and how many would die.

I'm amazed how many people are going to die just because the whim of one person, in the United States of America.

One of those times you wish someone had the guts to slip a little something extra in that syringe.

I have nurses I used to work with posting all sorts of trash and lies. One of them just got the vaccine while posing derogatory, not grateful things about the whole situation. Really, this is a helluva time for Karma to be taking a vacation.

Wish there was a way to report them to the BON anonymously. The area I live in is not safe (as in very public and coordinated character assassination and blowback) to speak out unless you do it with great care.

They followed his direction. Had he taken it as seriously as he knew it was, they would have never done that. We would be not discussing how bad of a person Rubio is WRT this pandemic.

I’m not looking at all the data but looks like Midwest is stabilizing somewhat and the southeast is heating up again. Sc just broke their record
 
LA County the other day had like 65k cases or something nuts...and with the holidays there is some dark days ahead.
