I've been reading about this. "Success" from the testing, and I defer to you, is whether the test subject develops antibodies, correct? It's still technically possible to have said antibodies, fight off the infection but still be - at least somewhat - contagious. Correct?

Correct on all counts.

I love this user name. Who is it for? Air Force?

Bowling Green. Instead of saying "And we're underway!" or something like that for the opening faceoff, the previous student PbP announcer, Evan Pivnick (currently doing PbB for the ECHL's Adirondack Thunder), would say "Talons up, puck down" to tie into the athletic department's "Talons Up!" marketing campaign. I'm not one of those overly creative types so I swiped it.

I ventured to the D1 Forum and that thread (I basically have no reason to enter the D1 Forum anymore) and Holy S-are there are some idiots there. Personal favorite was JD going "You People" to you. "You People"? You mean "medical professionals"?

He is a first class d1ck. He literally posted that I was unreasonable because he had to suffer thru 8 months of this and he should be able to watch hockey. Not sure who parented him but what ever they tried it didn't work. There are a few of them in there that are about as selfish and entitled as you can get. Would not want them in my family or my community. In life before the 'rona those were the people that folks sneered at but ignored as selfish gits. At first I thought they were joking- they aren't. They just suck.

Cool.

The middle logo is one of my all-time favorites (although no talons):

Also, because I first became aware of college hockey in the early 80s, Bowling Green will always feel like a team that "should" compete, for me. The teams that are fixed in my mind as perennial natural NCAA contenders:

Harvard
Clarkson
St. Lawrence
Cornell
Providence
RPI

Bowling Green
Wisconsin
North Dakota
Northern Michigan
Michigan Tech
Minnesota

Un-fu**ing-believable. Australia, which hasn't seen community cases of COVID in a while thanks to their nation wide lock-down and COVID response, has fully re-opened. Here's a scene from a music festival last night.

Meanwhile in Wisconsin: Darryl, Katie-Lynn, and their kids McKarty, Taylee, and Lakynn all wear red MAGA hats and loudly protest that their freedumbs are being trampled because their local Kwik-Trip makes them put a mask on before entering the store.*

* I realize this sentence may be a bit too local for those not from the midwest...

Why are some states’ active cases so much lower than others, despite higher recent numbers? For instance, MN has had one of the worst outbreaks in the last couple weeks. According to Worldometer, they’ve had ~82,000 new cases since 11/22, yet only ~52,000 active cases. TN has had around ~61,000 new cases since 11/22, yet only ~35,000 active cases. KY, by contrast, has had ~42,000 new cases since 11/22, but has ~166,000 active cases. How have 30,000 people in MN already recovered in two weeks, yet only 30,000 Kentuckians have recovered since March? All three states have robust testing, better than the national average. Am I missing something obvious here?

Maybe how states are counting asymptomatic cases and are considered "recovered" differently?

I know you guys hate Dr. Mrs.' Boo, but he excoriated Dump and the Covidiots this morning.

A broken clock is right twice a day...

Or

Way to take a stand 6 months too late. Does he have any hot takes on how Vietnam he wishes to share?

Sorry but having a spine when there is no one to push back anymore doesn't get you praise...in fact it proves you are the ***** everyone said you are. Must be why Trump likes him so much...Chris Wallace and George Stephanolopolous are twice the commenters Chucky wishes he could be.

I wonder what the rate is for board members in Minnesota

“NEW TODAY: Minnesota ranks second in the country behind South Dakota for new cases per capita over the past two weeks. One in every 136 people in Minnesota tested positive in the past week.”
