Typhoid Mary was criminally prosecuted?
She was quote "sentenced to quarantine." I don't know if they are using the term "sentence" loosely but if there was a court then yes she was prosecuted.
It's very similar to today. She was in complete denial. After she was released from quarantine on the stipulation that she could never be a cook, she got a job... as a cook, and more people died. She simply did not accept that she was causing what she was causing. In that regard she is just like the anti-science nuts running around in the GOP. Even more on the nose the argument was made on her behalf that they could not deny her her right to earn a living. That right wing wackjobbery is evergreen.
