Sorry but this is completely na?ve. First it assumes they don't know (many do) but it also assumes that they want to know. They don't. Humans hate finding out they are duped and will double down in the face of it. Look how many families still dont get vaccinated even after their loved ones die in front of them begging for the vaccine. They dont ever want to realize their mistake because it makes them stupid and responsible.

The GOP has been bending people over for decades, out in the open and laughing about it and the people they light on fire still go to them for the water to put it out. Meanwhile Democrats want to offer them water and non-flammable clothes and blankets and they would rather burn than take it.

Most of these people aren't dumb, they have the ability to think and reason. But humans tend to stick to their guns no matter what. They made a choice and they will ride or die with it until the bitter end blaming everyone but the GOP and themselves while they do it.

I think it was always above 50% but usually Natural Selection weeded them out over time so the stronger and smarter would out populate them. We as a society have been protecting the Darwined for too long and this is Mother Nature telling us who is really in charge. It is like when a protected animal population gets too large sooner or later they start destroying stuff and then if not properly maintained disease starts to run rampant and even more die off. The Earth knows what it needs for balance and we have allowed the stupid and dangerous to be fruitful and multiply. Harmony will be achieved problem is we might not be part of the equation much longer. (relatively speaking)

No it's not. Plenty have come back from the abyss. Look at Joe Walsh. How many Bush inner circle members have spoken out for traditionally progressive policies in the last 5 years? Even I have come back from being basically a borderline neocon/libertarian when I was young and dumb. People can wake up.

Look, I've said several times now I don't think it's likely. I'm saying IF it happens, it'll be ugly.

Joe Walsh is an opportunist. So are The Lincoln Project guys. If the candidate had been anyone but Trump they would still be GOP ride or dyers. They are politicos not average voters. They will go where it best suits them. See also Chris Wallace only for different reasons.

Go ask the average GOP voter what they think and who they blame. If they haven't left yet they never will. The Cult has them...even a disease that is basically an act of God wasnt enough to wake them up. They like life in The Matrix and will trade their free will for an extra $20 on their paycheck.

You make the mistake in believing they just aren't seeing the truth...when the reality is they don't want to. This isn't a movie, they won't wake up from mad hypnosis one day and turn...they see facts as liberal lies and Democrats as the Antichrist. Any deviation from that would lead to a breakdown. They will realize their responsibility in the death and destruction and it would kill them. History is filled with this...an entire generation of Germans and Austrians destroyed their livers drinking away their culpability. Americans are too selfish to let it get that far short of another war. And even then they won't rise up...they will slink away and still blame us for not stopping them. We are the enemy.

I was a 20-something libertarian. It happens. People grow.

But those are people who are capable of growth. Nobody who supports Dump can come back from that. That tells you something about a person. What they are and more importantly what they are missing.
 
So the national coverage of Brigham and Women's Hospital correctly refusing the heart transplant to a fucking moron antivaxxer (like they would if he refused any other part of the pre-and-post transplant therapy) has resulted in death threats to the hospital.

Nice going Jeb, you fucking piece of shit. I hope you're happy when some lunatic - fed by your endless stream of lies and mischaracterizations - goes and shoots someone in scrubs outside the hospital. Because, you know, mah rights!

Worse is when they make up reasons to have supported the system. Like the excuses for the US Civil War. The revisionists can't accept the text on the page that very much points out that the entire point of that was slavery.

Even now, they are doubling down on any action to fight COVID. Faux is literally murdering their own viewers, and can't stop. Right wingers are literally murdering their own voters, and keep up "the fight". It's pretty sickening.

Related to this, when I see groups of the absolute most miserable, cruel, monstrous people who are apparently friendly with each other (like the greater Trump Cinematic Universe), or at least form little social bubbles, I think, wow, I guess this is what you know? That this is what human relationships are? Just a bunch of utter pricks who will kill you for a quarter, and these are your "friends"?

And you don't choose to just go live in a cave? Especially when a lot of these assholes are extremely rich, and they could go live in a really nice cave? Or just, I dunno, surround yourself with different people? Any other people will do.

Maybe that's why a lot of these rich weirdos become dedicated twitter posters, or spend their twilight years doing CNBC hits.

Based on how they see labor and worship rich people, they are taking off an extra $20 for the honor of keeping the rich, rich.

Reminds me of a time I was talking to a tech at work, and how he was so against labor unions because he could negotiate his salary. The irony made me speechless- he was a contract worker instead of a direct hire. The management at Kelly Services love that kind of attitude.

Did he say that on Bill Maher? Perhaps CNN? MSNBC? Maybe Faux News? Or did he tweet it from his official account? Perhaps he said it on his podcast?

He lost his radio gig over this but he had no future in the GOP even before he turned on Trump he was going to be stuck on Newsmax. He is in a much better position now even if he took a hit to the bank account in the short term...he is the poster boy for the "Never Trump Right".
