Covfefe-19 The 12th Part: The Only Thing Worse Than This New Board Is TrumpVirus2020

The White House pointed out this morning that as the percentage of vaccinated senior citizens has increased, the rate of COVID-19 related visits to ERs has decreased substantially.

If that is true, I think the governors still enforcing restrictions are going to be forced to end them over the next few weeks as we move into the "all adults are eligible" phase of this. It may not be the best choice from a public health standpoint, but all the indications I've seen are that spring fever is running amok and the majority of the public is just about done tolerating the remaining executive orders.

I'll agree. Cabin Fever has taken it's toll and is at a tipping point. I'm also chomping at the bit to eat out at a restaurant again.

Who gives a **** if young people die and/or have permanent health problems? This whole thing horrifies me to no end.

I can't wait until we find out 2 years from now that the virus lies dormant in the nervous system, only to re-awaken and take permanent control of its hosts' bladder functions or something. Hope that meal at Applebee's was worth it, you early-opening pukes.

The young certainly don't seem to care. Outdoor dining is back with bigger crowds than ever, whether the tables are socially distanced or not. Ski resorts out west were pretty busy (though masks were generally enforced). Kids are going to Florida and Mexico for Spring Break. I hear people having backyard gatherings on the days thus far that it hit 65+.

Gaze upon the face of the monster you helped create.

Mass had it’s highest number of cases today since early February. We need to open things up more though!

My wife, who’s fully vaccinated, went to the Mall of America today with a friend. She tells me that the place is packed except for the occasional area. One lap around the mall’s interior walkways is roughly a full mile, to give scope. And there’s three main levels to the mall. Round 3 here we come!

I have a morbid hope that as I wear my mask I get the side eye from some Michiganders the next few days! I will then ask how the Wolverine Hockey Team is doing ;^)

stay safe friend. I know you're vaccinated, but B117 is spreading uncontrollably there right now.

I got my first stab Tuesday. Arm was sore for a day or 2 but that was it. Wife got her first dose today; 5 hours later she was basically knocked out in bed feeling like shiat.

I was worried about that yesterday as we ventured out to buy some *stuff*- everyone but a very old lady had masks. Maybe it's because I live in the bubble of Ann Arbor, but one trip was up to Fenton.

The hockey team situation is really frustrating to me- it's not as if they didn't 100% know what the consequences were if there were just connections to infections. So after a two week break for the entire program, how in the world did anyone take the situation so lightly that they managed to get it?

The only thing I can think of is that it was a parent of a kid who was going back to school in person- which is happening here in MI. So many kids get it, and with no family even considering masks, the obvious path of spread is obvious. Thankfully, our neighbors, who are teachers, are vaccinated. For their sake- we barely see them in person anymore.

On that note, we are scheduled for shot one next week.

^^^This is exactly the type of drivel you would expect from a person who has lived in a heightened state of emotion and/or fear for an entire year plus. When the brain is in a constant state of emotion/fear it losses the ability to reason and think logically. I can't imagine what the consequences of this are going to be for people who have lived in this state for 18-24 months and potentially more.
