People going outside of their homes peaked at 7% below normal, and then started trending down again once infections started to rise.
Spending is declining after almost recovering, as infections have started to rise
And employment has stalled as infections have started to rise.

All this started playing out BEFORE additional restrictions have been put into place recently.

So pretending that everything is ok, and that we should open up isn't fooling everyone. This is the economic impact of doing nothing and pretending everything is ok. And because so many want to force this back going, the infections are now going to hammer consumer spending just as we get into the holiday season.

Thanks for denying and playing this down. Had we taken this seriously and nipped it in the bud, not only would +200,000 Americans still be alive, the economy would be more like other countries who managed to deal with it.

This is playing out JUST LIKE IT WAS PREDICTED TO.

Jeb...regarding your continued idiocy about masks. When are you going to acknowledge that mask mandates, although somewhat effective and better than no mandate, aren't truly effective unless you reach 90-95% usage. Oh, and hospitalizations are climbing significantly.

They’re quietly told to go to work if they’re asymptomatic. Not in a government statewide mandate like North Dakota, but the hospital itself telling its staff to show up. They’ll put those people on the isolation/covid units.

We at least got good news on possible immunity after recovering from Covid lasting longer than 3 months and vaccines this morning. I'm optimistic a year from now things will be better. Than China can release the next plague on the world.
 
Restaurants in Michigan are closed as of today and they just said on CNN the restaurant association is suing the state. What the **** is wrong when these people?

Indoor service is not permitted. Takeout and delivery is still allowed.

If they are asymptomatic they almost likely do not have an active infection. And it is no more than a way to sensitive PCR test, even Fauci has discussed this. But it doesn't get get play on the Panic News.

You got any real world examples of masks working in public? So 90 - 95% are truly effective, like truly stop out a virus, truly slow down cases? Please let me know it sounds so Scientific.

And then usage under 90%, even if 75, 80, ect and the virus apparently spreads uncontrollably "Cases."

Of course hospitalizations are going up, it is November in the northern hemisphere they go up every year at this time. The context is how much are they going up compared to what is standard? Context is something that NOT PRESENT does not practice. Panic and Hysteria is his game.

Overview
  • Wear masks with two or more layers to stop the spread of COVID-19
  • Wear the mask over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin
  • Masks should be worn by people two years and older
  • Masks should NOT be worn by children younger than two, people who have trouble breathing, or people who cannot remove the mask without assistance
  • Do NOT wear masks intended for healthcare workers, for example, N95 respirators
  • CDC does not recommend the use of face shields alone. Evaluation of face shields is ongoing but effectiveness is unknown at this time.
  • Evaluation of mask and gaiter materials and structure is ongoing.

I understand trade unions suing. This is an existential threat for many, many businesses and with absolutely no financial help on the horizon they're facing closures in many cases.

Again, it comes back to a spectacular failure of federal leadership. It didn't need to be like this.

I know we have lot of #Science buffs here so I know everyone will be happy to know we have a study like this to look at and draw from. And also a Randomized Controlled Trial is the actual practice of good Science. Discussion should stem from this type of information.

I personally believe that’s one of the biggest spreader right now. Hardly anyone seems to be able to stop gathering with other households

Baker, here in MA, has said the same and has published his data to support it. Virtually all infections and infection clumps are from large private gatherings.
