Covfefe-19 The 12th Part: The Only Thing Worse Than This New Board Is TrumpVirus2020

In raw numbers COVID-19 is gonna kill as many Americans by the end of 2021 as the Spanish Flu did in 1918-1919. I have little doubt about that.

With the explosion of positive cases in the last month and the fact the numbers keep getting worse and worse every week, we are going to see a December and January full of death on the most unprecedented scale imaginable. People are not going to heed warnings to avoid gathering over the holidays. My guess is December and January are going to be the most deadly months yet of the pandemic. I think we might see 100,000 more dead by the end of January.

Maybe. We’d need another 425,000 deaths. We’ve got a vaccine on its way. Several, actually. We’d need to average 3,000 deaths/day for five months straight. Wouldn’t surprise me either way. If that graph I posted earlier continues its track, we’ll have 3,000+ by 12/3.

But hey, it’s America in 2020, anything is possible!

Actually I was a little off. Facts matter.

But only by about a week based on how it's going...

The other unknown is that the 1.75% of cases has been accurate with a healthcare system that had capacity to deal with the cases, at what point does it become overwhelmed and the estimate is then too low?

And then you will see the GOP blame it on Biden. Faux will talk about how the numbers were better under Trump. COVID will be the new deficit.

Hey Jen and Chuck, great to see you both back. Thanks for your input, retarded as it is. Here’s a quote from Mr. Osterholm:

University of Minnesota infectious disease expert Dr. Michael Osterholm agreed.

"We could expect to see these cases go much higher than they are today. My best professional judgement is we could easily be in the mid to high 200,000 cases a day (in the U.S.) if substantial changes aren't made," said Osterholm.

Osterholm has said multiple times in the past week that a strict national lockdown of 4-6 weeks would be the most impactful way to regain control over the novel coronavirus, while noting on his podcast Thursday that Walz's limits on social gatherings and early bar closures will probably only have a minimal impact.

Minnesota has more than 1,400 people with COVID-19 hospitalized as of Nov. 12, and with a lag time of 7-21 days after testing positive, hospitalizations are likely to continue to further strain the state's healthcare system in the weeks ahead despite Walz's executive actions.

"Our healthcare systems are literally being overrun and these numbers continue to increase," Osterholm said. "We are in uncharted territories.

Have you ever noticed you and Chuck are vastly outnumbered in your delusion?

Oh look Not Present is still Not Present. How is the Dolt doing? Still yearning to be told to lock down I see.

Osterholm. Lmao. The guy that said in August we need to lockdown because places like Italy, France and Britain had done such a good job stamping out the virus.

Go check them out now.

That’s some top notch #Science. Is Michael still using his hideous models.

Seeing their raw numbers, it's going to take a while until someone actually takes it seriously. Only 10 died in the last day.

Once the hospitals are turning people away, and there are death panels- then they *might* do something.

But even then, I doubt it. This was the state that did nothing when factories closed due to covid outbreaks. Food factories, mind you. Companies forcing people to work, state doing nothing. Match made in r heaven.

They are so low on staff people who tested positive are allowed to go back to work at the hospitals. They are never going to learn or care.

Good. **** them.

I wish their Docs and nurses would just strike and let them be. People want to die, let em. Not fair for the docs and nurses to risk it everyday when structurally their system is telling them to eff off

He’s been a ****** for years. Maybe some of his pea brained fans will listen now

No they are now trying to say it is bad to call him out for his flouting the seriousness of the virus until he almost died. A few are even saying how it shouldnt be political and both sides are to blame. That isnt going well...

I don't mind if he has a come to Gritty moment due to getting sick...but just admit you were wrong. Say the words. In all of his tweets he never did that. As such he is full of crap and my sympathy is better given to someone else.
