To me, it depends. If they are asking their employees to have a higher risk of getting sick anEsd potentially dying, I think they should be competing with the 1.1x. Especially when the bonus should be running out when the risk has gone down enough to not be a problem.
Especially for companies who didn't even attempt to keep paying their employees when they shut down.
The number of companies who are willing to sacrifice their employees heath so that they can make money is getting larger every day- at least the ones we find out about.
Companies shouldn't have to compete with the 1.1X - they're competing with $0, so there should be no reason they'd have to offer more than the original $X. If their employees can't do that math, then they can probably hire other people who *can* do math for $X.
