Covfefe-19 - Part 4- Stay the **** Home

Re: Covfefe-19 - Part 4- Stay the **** Home

Agreed that the bill looks f-cking terrible. I was expecting at least a couple months of 0% student loans. How’d we apparently go backwards on that?

I missed this, but Ky. Gov. Andy Beshear announced yesterday that Kentucky is moving from a non-essential business mandated closure to a life-saving businesses only open type-closure on Thursday, at 8p. Maybe that was the requirement to make Kentucky a shelter in place, according to most major news outlets and the Coronavirus Now website? I’m honestly not certain. Someone on here may know. Beshear was also heated about that moronic Kentuckian who attended the coronavirus party, because unlike that particular person, he’s not a f-cking a-shole.

The Democratic Party needs a new Senate leader. Has since the second Harry Reid hit the golf course.

Re: Covfefe-19 - Part 4- Stay the **** Home

likely what they got was the business bailout transparency and no bailout to the presidents businesses.

Well that is great! That certainly helps my parents who are both on SS and had my fathers hours at his part time job cut. I am sure they will be happy to know Trump cant make any money off the bailout while they are struggling to afford groceries.

Although to be fair...my dad will probably love his one time check since he thinks the Middle Class Tax Cut helped him. Maybe the Dems hope they have as many stupids as the Right does...

Re: Covfefe-19 - Part 4- Stay the **** Home

Transparency actually is a big deal. Obviously it's not sufficient but it is necessary.

Transparency is like "Issue 5" on the list of what was needed. I am glad it is there...but good god they sold out everything else to get that? My students in my negotiation class could do a better job than that.

The Dems just never get it. They are the fool that pays full price for the car because they threw in some cool floor mats and gave them an extra month off payments.

Re: Covfefe-19 - Part 4- Stay the **** Home

I never said the bill was good. I just said dems were always going to fail.

They just failed sooner than informed people had hoped.

Is WI really shelter in place though? Reading the text of the order, most workplaces, other than a lot of the recreational ones that were already shut down, can remain open. In fact the notice even says that in the "exceptional circumstance" your workplace is not listed among the many, many "essential" industries, contact a specific state agency to see if in fact you CAN remain open. Likely the result of a weak democratic governor coming up with something his republican legislature and all of their business donors could live with.

It's not too different from most. Everybody I know is either working from home or home but not working. Grocery stores and gas stations are open. Our Supreme Court order is creating some interesting issues for courts, with in-court appearances prohibited unless absolutely necessary (which I have already seen strictly construed). Which means there will be a mile-long queue for evidentiary hearings going into next year.

They would be better off failing...and frankly so would all of us. This makes the Tarp deal look like "The Great Compromise".

The Dems dont know what compromise is though because they never actually hold out for anything.

Gov Walz is talking now. Minnesotans should expect to spend the next 5 weeks at home, split into 2 weeks shelter in place, and 3 weeks distancing. Numbers might be mis-assigned.

Re: Covfefe-19 - Part 4- Stay the **** Home

Walz plan looks good. If only every state could have a guy like this

The only thing that's not clear is what the difference is between today and when this goes into effect. I think he's doing A+ work, but I think they could have been a little more clear about the differences.

Yeah...does this mean no food delivery?

Re: Covfefe-19 - Part 4- Stay the **** Home

Food delivery should be fine. That keeps more people at home and out of the stores.

Re: Covfefe-19 - Part 4- Stay the **** Home

Jesus his numbers are scary. We have 235 beds in ICU and without mitigation by the end of April it would have been 6000  We already pushed the date to peak ICU back and the new plan will push it even further.

Re: Covfefe-19 - Part 4- Stay the **** Home

Push back peak time, using local companies to fix the supply chain for supplies and adding beds. Simple and smart.

You want to know the real federal government timeline?

Stop movement order issued by @EsperDoD, halting all travel and movement abroad for US forces for up to 60 days, reports @Reuters
The stop movement order applies to all US troops, civilian personnel and family members, @EsperDoD tells @Reuters.

It also seems that MnDOT is taking advantage and working on a bunch of entrance and exit ramps this spring. :D
