In fairness, a 3 hour drive in Connecticut could be all of 30 miles.

I was hearing today that some in the medical field don't believe in the flattened curve as a "one-off." It will be like a roller coaster. Smaller "spikes" but also multiple ones as these shutdowns come and go (which they think they will). However, each new shutdown will be less restrictive, since once you get it, your body may be a little more immune to it. So, less infected, more freedom to move about.

Think of it as a chicken pox party. Get it over with, now we're good, and each cycle of shutdowns has less people at risk. Something to that effect.

Of course, this is still speculation, but at least it comes from verified scientists and such.

Source, and the article is apparently on the site: KFAN, Dan Barreiro Show.

Mentioned this last night.

Felony conviction, prohibition on holding public office, loss of pension. That’s what’s waiting for those who traded on Congressional knowledge in violation of STOCK.

So, my reading comprehension skills may be s***, especially this late, but is he saying if someone gets tested, say,10 days after first showing symptoms, but on day 10, test day, is no longer symptomatic, the current Covid-19 test will come back negative, even if that person had it? Almost like a false negative, except not?

"More than 99% of Italy’s coronavirus fatalities were people who suffered from previous medical conditions, according to a study by the country’s national health authority.

After deaths from the virus reached more than 2,500, with a 150% increase in the past week, health authorities have been combing through data to provide clues to help combat the spread of the disease.

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte’s government is evaluating whether to extend a nationwide lockdown beyond the beginning of April, daily La Stampa reported Wednesday. Italy has more than 31,500 confirmed cases of the illness.

Italy Coronavirus Deaths
The new study could provide insight into why Italy’s death rate, at about 8% of total infected people, is higher than in other countries.

The Rome-based institute has examined medical records of about 18% of the country’s coronavirus fatalities, finding that just three victims, or 0.8% of the total, had no previous pathology. Almost half of the victims suffered from at least three prior illnesses and about a fourth had either one or two previous conditions.

More than 75% had high blood pressure, about 35% had diabetes and a third suffered from heart disease."

Grain of salt and all....

Re: Covfefe-19: Do What Now?

I presume so since South Korea was isolating moderate cases and not letting them go until they had two negative tests

Re: Covfefe-19: Do What Now?

Diabetes, high blood pressure are both pre-existing conditions. So that only describes half of America.

Makes sense. I guess that doesn’t sound nearly as crazy as I originally thought in my head. I love learning new s***, but **** I get overwhelmed by all of it sometimes.

Re: Covfefe-19: Do What Now?

Isn't your Stelara injection (for the psoriasis) an immunosuppressant?

Yep. I am less immune, hence private life lockdown, for the most part. I get out and buy gift cards to local businesses, to keep the cash flow going, and that's it.
