Cornell @ UNH, 1.3.2010 - Let's Ring in the New Year!

Re: Cornell @ UNH, 1.3.2010 - Let's Ring in the New Year!

Niters, erin, Dean, Kepler, George, Midge and everyone else... enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend. :)

Thanks to the UNH fans for the company. We were due for a solid effort after a ****-poor showing in Florida...sorry that it had to be at your expense. Good luck the rest of the way!

Umile might want to rethink the whole "let's sit on our asses for a month while every other team of worth is playing in a holiday tournament" thing....

I don't know about that, Chad. They only had two weeks off and skated very hard in practice this week to get their legs back under them. Also, the players get to be home for christmas, whereas teams that play tournaments have to practice christmas day. UNH still manages to schedule a very tough out of league schedule which usually (when they don't go 0-5-1) benefits them come March. It's these Sunday afternoon games that they have trouble with. Anyway, it was nice keeping you all company today and hopefully I'm able to make it back east for Friday.

An impressive showing by the Big Red after the debacle(s) in Florida. At least it should help in the pairwise with Hockey East.

The dreaded North Country next.

Cornell, very nice. You have a hell of a team. Congrats and good luck the rest of the way. Hopefully we see you in the NCAAs! ;)

Malts, a small consolation for you today...the young guns had a nice comeback against West Ham at Upton Park to advance in the FA Cup.

Oh, to be a Gooner...

That's something for Chad to swill to, anyway. ;)

Sorry for the no-show on my part -- forgot the early start. Then again, might have been the best course of action, all things considered. :o

Great clip of the complete dominance Cornell showed during the third period.

I haven't seen UNH play this year, but what amazed me about this clip is how none of the UNH payers were willing to play physical / use their bodies to get the puck out of the zone. Team seems extremly 'soft'

To be fair to them, Cornell was able to cycle three lines while UNH had the same 5 guys stuck out there. By the end they must have been near passing out.
