Cornell @ UNH, 1.3.2010 - Let's Ring in the New Year!

Re: Cornell @ UNH, 1.3.2010 - Let's Ring in the New Year!

1st half of the period was all UNH... 2nd half all Cornell. This has to change.

CU 1 UNH 0, Period 1

CU 1 UNH 0, Period 1

ESPNU saying the scoring chances are 6-4 CU, not sure it feels that way.

Penalty UNH, Butler for hooking.

Apparently they're calling it "high sticking".... but really it was a hook, I guess a high hook if you want to get technical. He was trying to disrupt Gallagher who was the puck carrier.

Anyway... CU PP.

CU 1 UNH 0, Period 1

1:06 of 5 on 3 for CU now.

Moses going off...

2:18 left in the period.

Grand. Now Moses goes for hooking... Cornell 5x3 for over 1 minute... 2:18 left to in the 1st.

CU wins the faceoff...

Gloved by Foster, good play.

1:40 left in the period, 28 seconds left of 5 on 3.

CU 1 UNH 0, Period 1

Puck out of play off of Foster, 1:32 left in the period, 20 seconds of 5 on 3.

CU 1 UNH 0, Period 1

HUGE glove save by Foster. 1:12 left, 5 on 4 for 54 seconds now. Whew.

UNH cannot clear the zone.

CU 1 UNH 0, 1st Intermission

CU 1 UNH 0, 1st Intermission

1:04 left, 46 seconds of 5 on 4 left, Foster stuffs another.

Ensuing face off hits something, but doesn't go in, and it leads to the first clear on the PK.

UNH now clears again, tried to feed Butler shortie, no dice.

Huge kill, all penalties over.

End of the period, whew.

Woulda coulda shoulda period there... Still, take the lead on the road.

Re: Cornell @ UNH, 1.3.2010 - Let's Ring in the New Year!

Well... let's hope that 3x5 kill gets the boys going.... still only 1-0.

I didn't catch the final shot total for the period, but did hear that CU went on a 7-0 shot run in the later stages of that period (not surprising). Scrivens was not really tested... he had one really nice glove save early, but that's all that really stands out in my mind.

Hi kids. Thought I'd join you as watching yet another Patriots 4th quarter meltdown is so not appealing.

Hello, Miss Scarlet... thanks for joining us today. Pats are just hanging around and waiting for next weekend. Week 17 never matters much for a lot of teams.

Hey Scarlet.

Meltdown, eh? Last I saw we were up 27-20, not true anymore? Game isn't on TV here in San Diego.
