Cornell @ RPI, 2/3/12 7:30pm (NBC Sports)

Re: Cornell @ RPI, 2/3/12 7:30pm (NBC Sports)

After one period at Lynah, RPI and Cornell women tied 0-0.

Re: Cornell @ RPI, 2/3/12 7:30pm (NBC Sports)

Cornell's Braden Birch was injured by an apparently legal check form Joel Malchuk during the first period. I don't think that he came back.

Re: Cornell @ RPI, 2/3/12 7:30pm (NBC Sports)

After the announcers in the 1st period on NBCSN seemed to be pro-RPI, they totally shift gears in the between period analysis and say Cornell were the aggressors.

This could have easily been 4-0 if not for Merriam. We have to tighten up the defense. Also need to put more pressure on Iles. 4 shots will not do it.

He didn't. The calls on hits/boarding were very inconsistent through the 1st period. Lee's embellishment gets a penalty called; Birch's injury none.
