EHF: May your thread starting winning streak continue!! Betting odds are not good and on paper things do not look promising. But I have always felt sports are about match ups and sometimes certain teams present problems that we can deal with and certain teams present problems that we cannot handle. Let us hope tonight is the former and not the latter. Impossible to even venture a guess since we have not face this team yet this year. Last weekend at least we had faced both teams in Troy and played them extremely well earlier this season so we had at least an inkling about what play would be like. Cornell is without doubt a top tier team (and almost always is) but perhaps our style of play can hopefully present them with a bit of a challenge. To steal a bit of a line from Gladiator - RPI 'At the opening signal, unleash hell!"

Happy National Hockey Mom day to any hockey mom's who may be lurking. What a great gift your son's can give you with a win over the #2 team in the country.

It'll all depend on which RPI team shows up....If we are last Friday's team - then we have a shot. If we are Saturday's team from SUNY Canton, then its gonna be a long night.

We know which Cornell team we'll see ...they have been on a scorched earth campaign for most of the season.

Yup! And it goes without saying that we will have to find a way to score against a team that gets very unhappy when you do. They have as solid a defense as any in hockey and we have often times been a bit challenged in finding the net.

Re: Cornell@RPI 1/10/2020

Sounds like prerecorded versions of the national anthems.

From which I deduce that the students are not back on campus yet and there is no band. :(

Edit: Well, now I hear the band as the opening faceoff approaches.

Wonder why they didn't play the anthems.

Dont't remember hearing the band at the women's game. Maybe too embarrased to show up:o

This minimizing the band thing needs to be reversed ASAP.
