I was closer to the play than any of you, including any of the four officials. I even saw a tweet from a neutral (Jason Klump) echoing my thoughts. That's a good goal.

Cornell was, in my opinion, the better team. But that should have been a tie game.

The only uncontroversial win last night at Meehan Auditorium was the Cornell Band's trouncing of Brown's band, which seems to think hockey games warrant the same set list as a middle-school concert. "Build me up, Buttercup" as a fight song before a PP faceoff -- REALLY? Yeah, that was inspiring.

Kudos to those Big Red horns -- you guys know how to rock it old-school and awesome. Took me back to the days when Curt Bennett and the Cranston Line faced down Ken Dryden. And that's a good thing.

...oh, wait, they called off a perfectly legitimate goal. I was closer to the puck than the ref was. It was in before the whistle.

Remember though that it isn't the whistle but the (immortally named) "intent to blow."

Watching on video I couldn't hear the whistle and had no idea why the goal was disallowed. I assumed it was a crease violation.
