And then the bots and Kroll Allies start rumors that Walz asked the Guard to leave and all hell breaks loose.

They were guarding power stations, hospitals, precincts they still had, and tried to help keep firefighters safe. They didn't choose none. We just didn't have the numbers to do what they did AND mount an offense to restore order.

They did. The Fifth. The show of force was decided early on. Go back and watch last nights presser the General explains what was going on and Pat Kessler from Channel 4 was talking about it pretty much every hour on the hour.

The problem was why it took so long to finally get them there. I dont remember the answer but I would guess the logistics. It appears to me they wanted everyone moving in at once to to shock the crowd and force them back. Maybe they felt a slow build up would escalate the tension and make things worse in the area? When they all showed up at once things died down there real quick.

Just a guess but my guess is 1st District, 3rd District, 4th District and 5th District get a solidly even split of the guard coming in next.

I don't understand the 3rd. That is already torched and done. Nothing really to save there. The others? Very necessary.

You know who is really annoyed...Kepler! Because now CNN's "look at all the White People!" crap actually is relevant :eek: :D

I mean it isnt like it is fringe people saying this...Walz and Harrington said it last night. The Mayors are saying it today. Christ Mark Rosen is even saying it. I mean this isnt exactly the Lone Gunmen here.

Thinking more on this, the 4th being relatively quiet is probably further proof that white people are instigating things. ;)

To protect the people. All of South Minneapolis needs a force at this point just to keep things settled. (plus it is within walking distance of the 5th)

Basically everything from Hennepin to Minnehaha needs to be locked down along with everything from 35W to Lake Street. One big part of the city that is encircled by the Guard.

What I'm saying is, I don't think the rioters will be there at all, since they did all the damage they could in that part.

At this point I think they're going to take the ground you give them. Leave swaths of the 3rd open, they'll just go there and light fires in the streets.

North Minneapolis be like:

"Where all da White People At?"

My gf has been expecting the 4th to go up for 3 days now. It isnt like the North Side doesnt have a history of this or anything. (and parts of that area are way worse than say 28th and Lake) That it hasnt happened is kind of crazy.

The fact that North Minneapolis is quieter than Northtown Mall and even Maple Grove (cops told my buddy there has been some vandalism, threats of violence and arrests) is pretty friggin hilarious :D

Yep. The ONE spot you would expect to blow up, hasn't. I think it was in NY, the protesters weren't going near the Mexican areas, because they knew those folks would throw down the real sh* when fighting back.

If there are large scale incursions from white nationalist agitators the community is going to start dividing people on the street into "trusted sources" and "right wing agents." I do not think the latter will be welcomed.

I agree, but it isnt just to protect property anymore. Part of this needs to be about making the people feel safe and the cops dont do that especially there right now. Not to mention it will look REAL bad if the White parts get massive amounts of protection and the Black parts dont.

I guess we will see though. I am on a TV break (unless something really bad happens in the next few hours) because this is really starting to affect my brain. My anxiety levels are through the roof.

Protests tend to be centered in places where the protesters' grievance is understood. Go figure.

One thing that would help tonight is for the protestors to GO HOME by 8. Get off the street- plenty of hipsters out last night well past 8 not causing trouble.
Get the mobs off the street so we can find the professional agitators
