LA..wow that officer is getting beat

"I'm not in the hype business."

I generally like Cuomo, but...c'mon man. :D

You could watch this instead!

Re: Cops 7: What Could Go Wrong?

LOL. That's perfect. Well said.

You can bet MSNBC and CNN are tearing through their HR files right now finding every single black person they can to stick in front of a camera with their blazer.

Oh hell yeah. I might create a drinking game out of it :D

You dont watch Fredo, Lemon or, well anyone on MSNBC, to get the story...you watch it to see which way their emotional tantrums will go. Its fascinating cause it changes depending on who is complaining.

I used to play the game with Faux as well...but it is way to predictable :(

If you want the news, watch BBC or Al-Jazeera. (although they have been duped a lot lately by Twitter falsehoods so be wary)

Re: Cops 7: What Could Go Wrong?

I don't know much about this Cuomo but he is pretty difficult to stomach. Any anchor who tells me he isn't in it for the hype and immediately starts in with the hype... I stand by my statement about some of the commentary on the multi racial participation, but he seems pretty difficult to watch.

I don't *mind* Lemon or Cooper. I can't stand Cuomo. I'm basically watching right now for footage only and the on-site reporting.

Cuomo yells and hypes. Lemon/Cooper seem to discuss.

I like quite a few of them...outside of their shows. Maddow knows more than most of us could ever care to on wonky political stuff and she is great to see talk (pretty sure I met her once too years ago and she was very cool) but her show is unwatchable because she stopped talking the policy wonk stuff and just went full emotion. I get that gets better ratings, but screw that noise I got better things to do.

Honestly I think I like Jake Tapper the best and even he scores low on my watch meter.

Re: Cops 7: What Could Go Wrong?

Like it or not Kep, a lot of white people who aren't bigots but haven't yet come to terms with the notion that they benefit from white privilege need to see that other white people DO get it. It might come off to you as tone deaf, but to me it is important that people of all colors show some "rage." I'd prefer it if people of all colors would refrain from destruction and violence, but unfortunately in our society it seems this is inevitable.

"The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread."

White people have other avenues to pursue justice. People of color are resorting to violence because the white majority in this country doesn't give enough of a sh-t about systemic racism to address it, and all legal and political recourse for POC is blocked. So now we're going to get a bloody nose, and maybe then we'll do something.

Social contracts don't work if you f-ck one group forever and ever and ever.

White non-racists who still think, "but I'd rather have a new football stadium than public assistance and day care for mothers continuing their education" or, my favorite, "social liberals who are fiscally conservative" -- i.e., "I don't use the n-word, but if you raise my taxes to feed your child I'll vote Republican!" -- well, they're getting a lesson. And that lesson isn't coming from white folks they feel "comfortable" with. It's coming from the victims of their bullsh-t.

ATL set a car on fire as a distraction to try and sneak behind the police line. That's not the best idea.

Never surprise a man with a gun. Credit to those cops for not getting freaked out and shooting. That is discpiline.

Re: Cops 7: What Could Go Wrong?

It makes me chuckle that the rioters in ATL are trying to recreate what Sherman did so many years ago...

The teevee money folks have realized they've lost everybody with a brain. Smart people are on deep dive programs like Patriot Act or Last Week Tonight or specialty podcasts. The networks have no audience left but the dummies, so they're gonna go full tard to max out that share. It's smart, you don't give calculus to pre-schoolers.

Why do we have a curfew if it’s not being enforced?
