Well yeah but Denver is all White and Brooklyn is all Hipsters. DC and Atlanta are the only places where there is probably half Black or better ;)

This is so wildly, blatantly, and hilariously pro-cop, and pro-establishment it's such a shift from Unicorn Riot last night.

We have the best media corporate money can buy. They've staked out the "middle ground" between the Nazis on the right and the protesters on the Left. And it turns out Tractor Pet Food Supply and American capitalism is the glorious moral center. Whoopee!!!

I loved the CNN hairdo saying the protesters are "taking it out on the cops." No, as-shole. This is about police brutalization of black communities. The cops are the problem, they aren't some bystander being hassled.

Like it or not Kep, a lot of white people who aren't bigots but haven't yet come to terms with the notion that they benefit from white privilege need to see that other white people DO get it. It might come off to you as tone deaf, but to me it is important that people of all colors show some "rage." I'd prefer it if people of all colors would refrain from destruction and violence, but unfortunately in our society it seems this is inevitable.

You could watch MSNBC and their "Find Some Black Guy or Girl Who Somehow is Marginally Linked to the Story" and interview them every twenty minutes. MSNBC is playing the "Black Friend" card pretty well right now :D

Right now (and last night), the protesters were in downtown MPLS (there was a large march last night, too). Not a single incident.

Then you had what we all saw on tv/etc, and that was the 3rd Precinct.

I will not call protesters rioters, and vice versa.

Except, as you and Rube so eloquently pointed out, they are going out of their way to talk about the amount of non-Blacks there. I dont think White People Whitesplain Black Subjugation has the same effect :D ;)
