They have time to get a new coach. Luck could be interim until then. Unless there are no choices.Troy Taylor out at Stanford. Investigations popping out about bullying and being abusive to female staff members. Going 6-18 with losses to Sac State and SJSU certainly didn't help keep him around. Not exactly sure what coaches are left at this point. I'm assuming Andrew Luck becomes interim coach for a season; I'm not saying it's remotely a good idea, I'm just saying it happens.
There is some depth to this story and is a fun watch from afar...Tennessee QB Nico Iamaleava decided to hold out of practice this week looking for a rumored 4 million dollar NIL deal, roughly 50% more than his current 2.7M deal. Tennessee called his bluff and said they would be moving on at the QB slot and he's now expected to enter the portal. Since then it's been reported that he was barely adhering to the original NIL deal with basic things like autograph signings.
Just the guy I'd want in my lockerroom....what's in it for meeeeeeeeee? There is some depth to this story and is a fun watch from afar...
Apparently Dan Lanning at Oregon made a phone call to UT to let them know that Iamaleava was checking the temp with other schools. So it sounds like he was actively conspiring to get a deal somewhere else while also pressuring UT.
Gotta admit that the Wild West nature of the NIL landscape does have some popcorn value.
He's going to do one more show in Week 1 of the 2025 season.Wow, hearing that Lee Corso is retiring from College GameDay really hits hard. He’s been such a core part of the show — his headgear picks, sense of humor, and deep love for college football made every Saturday morning feel special. It’s the kind of presence you just can’t replace. It actually reminds me a bit of how the GameChanger sports platform is reshaping how teams and fans experience the game today — keeping everyone connected through live updates, stats, and more. From Corso’s unforgettable moments to today’s tech-driven sports tools, it’s all part of how we stay close to the game we love.
I'm confused. I thought the Rose Bowl was always 5:00pm ET. So, we're just talking an hour (though, I understand that one hour can cause the missed sunset).Big news, the Rose Bowl actually blinked first on something. Kick off is moving to 1p/4e. Barring an extremely long game that could be the end of the sunset view of the San Gabriel mountains.

Rose Bowl moving off traditional start time for upcoming season
The 2026 Rose Bowl will move its start time from the traditional 2 p.m. ET to 4 p.m. ET to accommodate better television windows.awfulannouncing.com
Yeah, it is just an hour, but the Rose Bowl committee might just be the most stubborn group of people on the planet. They’ve essentially dictated why the playoff format is the way it’s been, so even a move like this is shocking.I'm confused. I thought the Rose Bowl was always 5:00pm ET. Yea, I have no idea where the 2pm EST came from...Should that be Pacific time and not Eastern time? There's no way the game was starting at 11am Pacific.
