They'd be down 42-0 to Bama right now.
It would still be the same 2 teams strangling everyone year after year. They'd just have to strangle 3 teams instead of 2 on the way to the title.

Look, we have seen the results of these games so far, with the familiar teams. What's the harm in giving another team a shot? Can't get worse, right? So let's do it. That's my point.

UCF went up to Ann Arbor two years ago and gave up a 50-spot to Michigan.
If you want to see UCF-Bama or UCF-Clemson, that's fine. But anyone who thinks it would be any closer than what we're seeing tonight is a ****ed fool. It would be another buttocks-whooping, just in a different wrapper.

But...it hasn't happened. So let's try it. Again, we could see another USA-CCCP. We could see the same whupping we are seeing right now. I don't know, and neither do you.

Also, in 2016 Notre Dame lost to Texas, Michigan State, Duke, NC State, Stanford, Navy, Virginia Tech, and USC... Obviously a stellar season... So why isn't ND's 2016 resume being held against them for the turd they laid this year?

Seems like there was a similar argument about a decade ago, only it was Boise State instead of UCF.
What happens if LSU goes out and handles UCF in a couple days? Then what?

With an 8-team playoff, fine. Give them a shot. But don't be surprised in the least if they get jailsexed by the elite once/if they get there. The Alabamas, Clemsons, and Georgias of the world are on an entirely different level than the rest of us. You're seeing it right now.

That's the point. We're seeing for sure results. So let's mix it up. Go to a 6 or 8 team playoff. Involve more variables.
