The MAC cancelled their season.
Oh and Penn State told their season ticket holders they will not refund their donation for seats. That should bring about a lawsuit...
Edit: Maryland apparently has 6 players opting out and Michigan just lost another player.

Uh. You can’t not refund because “reasons”
Penn State would get absolutely Sanduskyed in court if they don’t back off.
Not necessarily...the fee is classified as a "donation". A donation is only classified as such if there is nothing tangible to be gained from it. The donation itself doesnt get you any tickets (just the opportunity to buy them) so technically speaking there is nothing being lost.
They will reverse course on this if the PR gets bad...but I doubt a court finds against them.
Ahhhhhh. My mistake. I thought it was the actual ticket prices. I suppose donations would be different. Either way, if Minnesota tried to pull that **** I’d tell them to get ****ed. I’m guessing a lot of Minnesotans would do the same. We’re not a cult.
My football refund is being processed. If it does not include my donation I will wage war on them
Back when hockey had a waiting list (like apparently Pedo State does for football) I bet you are wrong. The attitude was very different then.

New theory I've seen being spouted is that these cancellations are the fault of football writers who have been "rooting" for the season to be canceled.
1) Not entirely sure why writers who lost out on spring ball and have resorted to a lifetime's worth of "best slot receivers of the 1995 SEC East" articles the last five months would root to get rid of what provides their profession.
2) There have been plenty of examples of programs pulling writers access the last couple years because they were unhappy with a story that was written about the team. Highly doubt these conferences are suddenly scared of what may be written about them if they continue to play.
Wouldn't the ability to buy tickets be the tangible benefit though? Obviously it's something that is high demand, which is exactly why the university has required it.
