College Basketball 2011-12: The Road to New Orleans

Re: College Basketball 2011-12: The Road to New Orleans

108 shots in 40 minutes! The guy took a shot every 22 seconds! Wouldn't the other team maybe play a little four corners just to slow the guy down?
The other team had a guy who scored 70; they were racking up the points, too.

Besides the shot total, I'm most impressed by the 25/37 from inside the arc. Did the guy only shoot 3s and make dunks? It's ridiculous.

Grinnell plays a style that presses heavily, and if you get past that they let you score because their offense chucks a three as fast as possible or looks for a lay up. They're known for some pretty high scores and their odd strategy. They substitute like hockey, subbing five players out every minute or two. Watching the Chaminade-UNC game right now Jay Bilas said once or twice a year he picks a player and let's him go off, hence the 36 minutes played. Last year they had a player set the D3 record for points with 89.

The dude missed 57 shots and had a quote saying "I felt like everything I threw up was going in"

YOU MISSED 57 SHOTS!!!!!

and were 27 of 71 from 3.
