Colgate @ RPI, Saturday, January...16th

Re: Colgate @ RPI, Saturday, January...16th

Without Riley, SA has had to juggle things up front a bit but I see what he has done and think these combinations may be able to open up the ice a bit and at least produce scoring chances. Whether we can hit the net or not is another story.

i have always felt that to be a top college hockey coach you need to have an intense focus on every detail of the game. Years ago i had the good fortune of watching nate leamon run the dutchmen through a practice and it gave me a whole new appreciation for the word "focus". For rpi fans, watch 35 seconds of this interview with appert (1:00 to 1:35) and tell me if this guy doesn't have an incredible focus on the details of the game: https://www.youtube.com/embed/ddoma9z9pvw

Thanks Ralph, I think. I admit to being a complete klutz on pasting stuff onto posts here, but now I don't see my original post. Anyway......my point was that I am impressed at how Appert, in the moments after a game, can recall so many fine details of what happened. Reminds me of a friend of mine who, after easily beating me at chess would put the pieces back to the start and walk me through every move of the game to show me where I made my mistakes.:o

Easy there, I was the RPI Chess Club President in 1970-71.
