Union game started @ 8:30 for tv purposes. Cornell, 3-1 in 1st. Sak hurt, didn't start.

SOG at end of first: Cornell 20, Union 7.

Finally got back to my computer.
What I saw last night, was a team. They gave up 42 shots, but I can't remember a single difficult save for Perry. They kept the shots to the outside and defended very well. The two goals Colgate scored were from a scrum infront of the net in which the puck popped out to the only open player who shot into an empty net.
Tironese was energized and played very well. Liljegren scored a great goal beating the defenseman and putting the puck in the net. Wood and DeVito provided grit and energy.
Colgate was very chippy and could have caused a lot of problems if we responded, but we playued with discipline. (how many times could we say that in the last few years).
My only caveat is that I don't know how much talent Colgate has.
It was a great game to watch in person.
