Go Go Red! That 21st win will get us to the next round of the playoffs! The team played w determination tonight. Let's do it again on Saturday. I'm sure the coacj has some adjustments in mind for game 2.

I watched RPI play a perfect 1st period last night. Probably the best period of hockey any Engineer team has played in the 18 years I have been following the them. Than they came out in the 2nd and took their foot off the accelerator.
They didn't play bad, just not as intense. And Colgate slowly got themselves together.
Chase's play on the 4th goal was a thing of beauty. He drew the goalie and the defenseman to him and slid an easy pass to Higgs for the lay up goal. At which point, the entire building let out a big sigh of relief.
Tonight, we have to come out the same way as last night, but this time keep it going. I don't think we were tired, I just think that we thought that if we played them even for the last two periods, we would win.
Colgate is not a bad team, and York had to make some crazy saves to keep us up 3-0. It was a closer game than it had to be.
Lets end it tonight.

GO GO GO YOU RED RED RED!!!!!!!

Colgate will play with a more desperate attitude tonight-they have to. We have got to take control early. Avoid stupid penalties and pressure them from the opening puck drop. This could be the last game the seniors play at HFH-let's see Chase put on a show worthy of the Hobey candidate he is. I really do not want to have to come back and listen to a game tomorrow night-please end it here and now. Let's Go Red!!!

In agreement with Doc on what he said, I dont want to have to drive to CT and back to be at the field house for a game 3. The 4th goal with Chase and Brock was a textbook 2 on 1 and a thing of beauty.

Yes it was. I bet the everyone in the field house thought that Chase would take the shot. He made the perfect play with a perfect pass. As you said, a thing of beauty. :)

it was almost surreal the way Chase just glided in holding onto the puck. I felt like I was watching in slow motion.....gliding.......gliding.....gliding....and then, the smooooooooth shovel pass to Brock. Chase absolutely hypnotized the goalie.

I just watched that goal on the RPI-TV website. It was indeed a perfect pass.

It sure allowed me to finally take a deep breath. We never make it easy. Most of our games are not decided until the last few minutes. Very unselfish and smart play by a very unselfish and smart player who excels in so many aspects of this game. I suspect if he chooses, he will be a very effective player in the professional ranks. Size may hold him back from the NHL but he may surprise a lot of people.

Some changes in the RPI lines tonight... Rabbani moved up to be with Rogic and Helfrich, Burgdoerfer in place of Tinordi, now on with Cullen and Malchuk:

I repeat-where is Koudys? I like making a few changes to keep legs fresh in case of a Sunday game since playing 3 games in 3 nights can be very tiring.

Surprised that Tinordi is out tonight, He really had some big hits last night and had Colgate reeling.

SA just addressed that-Tinordi is a little banged up and Burg has been good on saturday nights recently. Not much gets by this coach

Change in officials tonight from what the game notes had... Tonight's referees are now Graber and McDonald.

Yeah, it was an interesting comment, and I took it as a compliment to Tinordi: sounds like he leaves it all on the ice in the Friday night games which makes it difficult for him to be as physical on Saturdays.

I took it the same way-watching Tinordi-he just doesn't back down and he hits with his entire body.
