Colgate 24-25

NIL money did reach women's hockey and yes, Muzzy had it first.

People forget it's not just selling jerseys or stuff. my $140 Max Brosmer FB jersey got Max about $3. It's pay for play. That will change in the House settlement if approved because NIL deals > $600 will be vetted by an ostensibly independent clearinghouse (Deloitte) to assess if it's a fair market value for the NIL deal.

FWIW: Minnesota's not finalized plan is FB, MBB, WBB, MHockey, WHockey/Volleyball, in order of who will get however much.
Wisconsin's Casey O'Brien had the only speaking part, but she and Pickard and Wozniewitz and Quinn Kuntz did a TV ad for a local golf driving range/amusement place. I'm sure they made thousands! LOL

I'm really looking forward to seeing the Raiders in the fall. After pulling off the feat of finishing second in the ECAC standings, I think Colgate could even hope to finish first in the standings in 25-26. The arrival of Senecal and Sawyer should help plug some holes in the defense. On offense, Copetti, Wood, and Beauchamp should provide some nice depth. The top six will be just as good as any other team in the ECAC, despite Malachino's departure. The question mark is in front of the net. Will Walker have what it takes to be a number one goalie?

Proud Canadian I agree. We also got the Hockey East Rookie of the year from Merrimack and a highly regarded goalie recruit from Alberta who plays for an elite Boys hockey prep team. Only girl in the League. I could see a competition up to the first game before a decision is made on who starts in goal or if we rotate. My greatest interest will be to see if this becomes Biederman's team with Danielle and Kalty in the PWHL. It's hers if she wants it and she's certainly earned the right to be top dog if she's comfortable with the responsibility. I hope she is because if this team takes on her energy and personality they will be a ball to watch. Her interviews alone will be a joy!

Davis' arrival will certainly be beneficial. Given the NCAA's highly hierarchical structure, I think Coach Decosse will start the season with Walker. However, if Davis performs as well as expected, it should create healthy competition at the net. As for Goofers, her arrival reminds me of Petford's last season. Goofers should play the same role with the Raiders this season. Admittedly, we have lost two key players, Kalty and Chino, but we have gained depth thanks to the new recruits. In addition, Aubin, who finished the season on the right side of Kalty and Pais, should get big minutes in 25-26. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see her playing center, her natural position at Stanstead College. In terms of leadership, let's hope Biederman can guide her teammates by leading the way. Her energy and determination are certainly contagious. But does she really play a leadership role in the locker room? One thing is certain: she didn't have any letters on her jersey last season, her junior year. I think Stewart, Borgiel, and Pais are the real leaders of this team.

Point well taken Proud Canadian, the 3 players you mention are definitely leaders. On the ice though Biederman's play can be so inspired. It's her last time to leave her legacy and I expect a very good year. Same with Emma. She had a bit of a Soph letdown last year, but I expect her to reclaim her frosh touch and use her size and speed to control games.
