Re: Colgate 2014-2015: Part II

I hope we are off the following weekend at least(after northern Ireland). Where's the schedule ?

Based on what's compiled on the Schedules thread, you aren't. You're at home vs. the North Country. There's also a possibility, based on musings from the Brown thread, that one of the Northern Ireland games will be a league game.

Kyle Baun is representing COLGATE well. Played a lot of minutes in the first period. Hope the boys back in Hamilton are watching!
Go 'gate!!!!

Re: Colgate 2014-2015: Part II

Does anyone know why Don has not hired a new assistant yet???? Spiro was on the bench when injured. Is it crazy to think he could be the new assistant? Would Colgate have to wait until he graduates to announce? Maybe the "volunteer" assistant coach?? Seems like we should have had one in place by now!

Dam....I missed it, was watching Devils and switching back and forth. Comets have won ten in a row, if you need a fix and live closeby check out a game. Man are they good and big.

All players receiving awards at the banquet were very deserving. Great to see Borkowski named captain for next season.

Re: Colgate 2014-2015: Part II

What does anyone think of Murphy getting an A on his jersey ? I guess he was more deserving of it in the second half. He has a lot of skill but needs to think a little more.

It surprised me, but, he has the talent to be our best power forward next year.

HUGE news!! Spiro won the prestigious Senior Class Award for Men's Ice Hockey!!! Great photo and write-up on ECAC website. SO PROUD of him!!!! Also, I think Murphy deserves the A. He brings a lot of energy to the ice every night and I believe he is a big factor in the locker room.

Congrats Spiro...someone should write a book, it would be a best seller !

Not sure if you've had an international tour in the last four years, but if there were any rumblings about one happening in the near future, this may be it. http://www.belfastlive.co.uk/sport/...jor-college-ice-8965955#ICID=sharebar_twitter

So we're giving up a home game against Brown while in Belfast. I hope this doesn't come back to bite us. :( Winning the Belpot Trophy would be nice, but not as nice as winning the Cleary Cup.

Side note: BU/Providence = who wins??

Anyone else find it kind of appauling that Spiro's Class Award for many things including academics isn't even mentioned by USCHO. I understand there's some other awards being shown but c,mon guys !

Agree with you shabby. Totally wrong that there is no highlighting this on USCHO - one of the major post-season awards. It's a disgrace.

Going back to your question about Murphy, yes, I agree, he needs to keep his brain intact while playing. Too many penalties and he cost the team bigtime with that DQ. But....he has the talent to be a force next year. My hunch is the coaches thought putting the weight of responsibility on his shoulders would straighten him out. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I'll take BU 3-1.
