Good Lord....Tied for #10 in the PWR. We played a great game. One of our better games so far !

Another ranked win, we leapfrog into 2nd place, we clinch a bye, AND we sweep Princeton/Quinnipiac on the road for the first time, EVER!

How sweep it is !!!!! :D :D :D

And now the niceties that come with taking care of business on the road- some people might get a little rest next weekend. Especially if we win on Friday, I can easily see Mihalik getting the start on Saturday.

But, they do also deserve a little bit of time to enjoy this, that was a big weekend at the right time of the season for it.

We are 5-1-3 against ranked teams in 2014. Our next four games are home, 3-1-2 vs Union, Q-Pac and Cornell. I don't want to play Yale at home in the playoffs which is a possibility, if the season ended today we would probably play RPI at home .

Ditto about playing Yale...or Cornell, Clarkson, RPI, Brown, St. Lawrence...
We sweep SLU, they beat RPI on the road 4-0, RPI takes 3pts from Colgate...
Can't make sense of it all!

Nice story about the Spink twins and our win last night on the CHN homepage. (I don't know how to do links....sorrry :( Really gritty win last night; the guys stayed right with QU, hounding the puck and not letting them get many good opportunities. Too bad we couldn't capitalize on the 3 first period PPs but all was good in the end.

Wouldn't mind playing Princeton or maybe Dartmouth in the playoffs, but no one else. We will have to scope out the Big Green this weekend.

Just wanted to congratulate you guys on a hell of a season so far. Colgate is definitely a team I'd be worried about facing in Lake Placid or in the NCAAs. Union has lost 6 times this season. 5 of those losses were by one goal. The other loss was to Colgate by 2 goals.

I know this is going to be nit picking, but how is it that RPI is the tie breaking factor when the two teams have played one another. We are tied for 11th with Cornell and Vermont, but we would be the 13th seed. Right now that wouldnt matter but if we are tied for 13 or 14th and therefore were 15 or 16 at the end of the season it would make a huge difference.

We beat both Vermont AND Cornell and yet the tie would come down to a system of numbers rather than the play on the ice. What is so impressive with the RPI that is not gained from head to head match ups?

Congrats to Shabby for opening up a sizeable lead in the PTS contest. He always had the faith...:)
