Seriously though, that was a pretty solid effort. First time I've actually seen them play after listening to almost every game from Gate Radio. I thought they looked pretty good. Lough stood out for me.

Congrats to the team!!! Impressive game and so great to get this crucial win on the first night in the North Country. Loved being able to watch the game (thanks Saints TV) and hearing the Colgate fans in the background!!!!!!!!

You're welcome on the free broadcast. Saints looked very flat tonight. Predicting college kids is difficult. After watching them in person three times in the last two weeks I can tell you that wasn't the team I had been watching all season. Question is: Was it because your team played so well, or, we were just not hustling and flat?? Maybe some of both. Weird. Last week we DOMINATED the game at Harvard. Reading the Q Pac thread tonight the Q posters all said Harvard dominated Q but Q got the win. Guess that's the difference between the elite teams (Q Pac) versus teams like us that are young. Experienced teams find a way to win when they don't play their best.

Your boy's earned it tonight. They definitely looked like the better team on the ice tonight. Good luck at Cheel.

Thank you Crit, I hope you see what I said on your thread about our teams.

Re: Colgate 2013-14

great effort last night...Union was "flat" last Friday night and SLU "flat" last night...maybe too much of a coincidence and is, in fact, attributable to our play...wonder if Lidgett was a healthy scratch (wouldn't surprise me)...stay with Mihalik...

Re: Colgate 2013-14

Terrific win. Let's do it all over again in Potsdam. Gotta stick with Mihalik IMO.

A win over Lehigh today at the KerrDome would be nice as well.

Re: Colgate 2013-14

Wonder if the reason we hadn't seen Mihalik in a while was injury. Box scores look sort of strange. Let in four in there first against St. Cloud (after having played well perviously in the season) but finished up the period only to not reappear for the 2nd and 3rd. Then doesn't appear at all for several games. When he does show up again it is as the third sub in - after we score to make it 6-2. Usually when you see a goalie sub, it is immediately after the goalie lets one in - either because he is playing poorly or he is being hung out to dry by his defense. The sub pattern doesn't make much sense to me (I mean why bring a guy in with 6 1/2 minutes left in a game you are losing by 4?) but an injury could explain it.

Glad to see a win up North - I think this is going to be a fun but frustrating team to watch - I expect a lot of ups and downs, particularly given how strong the top 3/4+ of the ECAC has looked so far this year. Exactly who in this league doesn't scare you at some level?

Lets pull another upset tonight - Go 'Gate!
