Colgate 2012-13

We are 5-0 and 7-1-1 in last nine, ended 2012 on a miniroll. I just hope we're not a little rusty for this weekend. RPI has played a tremendous schedule competively and is a good team, there are no gimmes in the ECAC this year. Just hoping we play like we were playing !!

Yea if this team is going to try and make the NCAAs a win at RPI and a tie or better at Union would be a good weekend on the road. Can't afford to lose like teams like RPI, Brown, or Clarkson if they want in. No games are gimmes but you can't lose them. A win over Union would also be nice for the PWR.

Re: Colgate 2012-13

Asked tDon during commercial break for the radio show tonight.... to the best of his recollection, RPI and Colgate next year, along with another team that he couldn't remember (it's been a few months since he looked at the schedule)

I was trying to figure out the NC schedule, too... it sounded like it was full, but I couldn't come up with enough games, unless the whole MN tourney thing fell apart. That's already on my list for next week.

Some news about your non-conference schedule for next year...

Re: Colgate 2012-13

What does that mean...are you referring to a tourney ?

The Mariucci Classic is the Gophers' holiday tournament, which is around New Years. They use set opponents, so I would safely assume that each of us would have a game with Minnesota and whomever the fourth team is (I don't know for sure who it is, my hypothesis is Wisconsin since it'd be B1G vs. ECAC). I didn't realise that the MN poster didn't put Mariucci Classic in that post. :o

Re: Colgate 2012-13

FWIW Dept: apparently there will be no goal horn, bands, or loud noises at the RPI game as it is "autism awareness day" Friday and the 'Tute is honoring that with a noise-less game. Hopefully the only noises we hear are the sounds of our shots hitting the back of the net :)

Re: Colgate 2012-13

Just one measly game? Heck, Harvard does that about 14 times per year!

Some of us wanted to do it when you were in town so we wouldn't have to listen to your fan's robotic annoyances. ;)

In all seriousness, though, Friday's game includes a reunion of sorts, as the Spink twins were on the same line as RPI's Laliberté while they were in Cornwall.

Cornell fans being what we are, though, you would have ONLY heard our normal repertoire - all of it. :(

Re: Colgate 2012-13

Bowling Green's shocker over ND raised our RPI a little but not our PWR. Going Friday night. No oxidation please !

Re: Colgate 2012-13

While we may be 16th in the PWR (last team in the tourney if no "upset" autobids), we are still 3-4-1 in ECAC play. We need at least a split this weekend to stay afloat in the league standings.

Also of note: we have not swept an ECAC road weekend since Feb. 24-25, 2006. That sweep came against Union and RPI, the two teams we are facing this weekend. These two games won't be easy but we need to keep doing what we've been doing in our previous 5 victories.

Re: Colgate 2012-13

On another thread it says Bourdon is ineligible tonight? Anyone know anything about this ?

Are you reading this on the Pick to Click thread? In that game, you're not allowed to pick the top scoring forward or D-man, thereby making the player ineligible for a choice in the PtC. Given he wasn't issued a Game DQ in your last game, nor have we heard anything from the league, I don't see why he wouldn't play tonight, barring any injury or coaching staff decision.
