Re: Colgate 2011-12

Conte was at Saturday's game...wonder if the Devs are interested in someone. We're the same age Greeny. Couldn't agree more about that line either.

Two Devils prospects in the same game against one another - Corbin McPherson and Miami's Blake Coleman

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Congrats on the weekend, Colgate. Thanks for doing the ECAC proud and I hope you guys soften up a bunch of opponents for your travel partner :)

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Just returned from a 4-day out of stater. An amazing w/e in Hamilton! Thanks for all the recaps of both games, Shabby, Rainman, Greencoat, etc. It was exciting just reading all the posts. Depressed to have missed maybe one of the most exciting home sports weekends - with fb's ot win - of the recent past. Sounds like we have some great playmakers in that Smith - Wagner - Wilson line, + others. Looking forward to the rest of the season and actually being at Starr for the first time for the Niagara game. Gotta see this team in person!! (maybe a FB-hockey doubleheader on 10/29!?)

Re: Colgate 2011-12

We're ranked #16 in the USCHO poll!

This is the first time we've been ranked since 11/23/2009 (that week we were 20th), and the second time we've been ranked since 10/16/2006 (also 20th, that was the infamous year we were picked to finish 1st in the ECAC). Hope this doesn't jinx us but we deserve the recognition after beating Miami.

Re: Colgate 2011-12

The ranking(s) seem conservative as if they're [partly] based on Colgate's underperformance last year. But hey, Rome wasn't built in a day. Once Miami gets winning, our PWR should rise, too. Army not looking very intimidating right now...hoping for another Cod Classic Cup! Anyone going? Health report on Eachus or McCarney? Just wondering, thx.
Go 'Gate!
Beat Army!

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Not a problem. I'll try to keep up with the info and paste relevant articles, pics and videos as they come along.
Can't believe we are almost on page 9 this quick.

Re: Colgate 2011-12

No game to talk about last night so, with Robert Morris upsetting Q-Pac and UNO beating Alaska Anch last night we jumped into 8th place in the PWR and RPI. I know it's early, but, I can't emphasize how large our victories over UNO, Morris, and struggling Miami will be in the end for our playoff chances. Ferris State beat Miami last night and now are 5-0, how crucial will our two game set against them be in January ?

The Spink boys are lightin it up again up in Cornwall. Tyson has 24 points in 14 games and Taylor has 14 in only six games !! Laliberte has failed to score a point for RPI .

I share your enthusiasm Shabby. Those early season wins (hopefully) will be a major factor in the PWR later this season - could put us in a TUC I suppose....or we could just win the league :) Thanks for the update on the Spink twins.

Yeah, no letup against the Cadets I hope. THis could be viewed as a "trap game" for 'Gate as Army has not done well and would like nothing better than to knock us off. Being at a neutral site, this is a whole lot better for us than playing them at West Point.

Go 'Gate, Beat Hoyas!

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Tonight ... Army ... this has "trap game" written all over it. Meanwhile football faces a "must win" against the Georgetown Hoyas in order to keep their Patriot League title hopes alive.

I'll be leaving for Hyannis in a couple of hours. Should be a great game and great atmosphere.
