Colgate 2010-2011 [Part II]

Re: Colgate 2010-2011 [Part II]

Shabby...yes, a broken hand and he's been a warrior...Larkin's now a +10 this year which is pretty amazing...I think Jeremy Price is realizing how good he is at rushing the puck and beating the forecheck on his own...got to come out aggressively on Friday and neutralize Yale's speed; they may not be as physical as Union, but they're equally skilled and faster...

Re: Colgate 2010-2011 [Part II]

I agree...Where did Price find the "wheels" ? He's been outstanding !!

Re: Colgate 2010-2011 [Part II]

Wow, didn't know one of our players has been playing the past month with a broken hand...3 years ago (2008, last time we made the semis) we lost a player for the season (Nick St. Pierre) to a broken hand but this nameless individual is "playing through the pain" and not quitting. Just wow.

Can't make it this Friday (and that's unfortunate since a few alumni of the pep band that I know so well are going to be there) but hoping to watch it live. What bugs me right now is the inability to win a Friday playoff game. We haven't done so since 2007. But we've played well against the Bulldogs this season that I'm sure we can put together our best game of the season to date. Just win, baby.

These guys don't quit. Friday is an elimination game. 4-0 in elimination games this season.

Re: Colgate 2010-2011 [Part II]

Good luck this weekend. I am rooting for you guys to pull out the crown. There is also a chance that 5 teams from the ECAC make the NCAA Tournament and I am also pulling for that (with you guys being the auto-bid) :)

Re: Colgate 2010-2011 [Part II]

Way to go 'Gate.
I saw 'Gate up at the Ledyard Tourney against BC and the team didn't look like an 11-26-3 team to me. Played some good hockey. Hard work paying off at the right time of year. :)
Hey there Grampa Day... we had a nice chat before the game.
Good luck to Colgate down in Atlantic City.

Re: Colgate 2010-2011 [Part II]

After reading the Union thread sounds like Simpson was interfered with/held down on the gwg. The video shows something that resembles this. Just want to think the goal was fair. We all know the refs can be clueless.

CU in AC
2011!

Re: Colgate 2010-2011 [Part II]

Congrats! What a tremendous turnaround! This postseason run sure makes up for a horrendous season - hope you guys win ECAC and make a dent in the tourney.

Re: Colgate 2010-2011 [Part II]

The way we played against Union, there's no way we can't beat Yale if we continue. We even tied them 1-1 in New Haven !! Getting ready !!! I'm finally back to normal(well kinda).

Every five years, league champs in 2006 !!!

Just my luck to be away for a wedding this last weekend...geez!

Home now, and still savoring the Union results. AC is not a 2-out-of-3 series, so we have to come out of the locker room firing on all cylinders. There is no Game 2 or 3! We've got the mo behind us -- peaking at the right time.

Who's going to AC? Won't make it myself. :( Anyone know if there will be live TV? If not, will be tuning in to Gate Radio. Of all the years not to have this in Albany :( Wonder how attendance will be with two upstate NY teams, Dartmouth and Yale - no teams from close to the Garden State.
