Climate Change: This Rock Will Soon Be Uninhabitable

I live a little over an hour south of there (Twin Falls). Go through quite a bit on my way to go over a mountain pass and into an area I like to fly fish in. It can be a neat area. Its blue, but I would call it more the Clinton type "liberals". Lots of money. That big Allen and Co conference in July. I've driven through there at the time it occurs and have seen the airport full of private jets and all the extra security around the lodge. Not uncommon to see some famous types around there. You get lots of the young hippie types who come in for skiing or rock climbing and what not. Some good festivals and other events though in the area.

116.

This is fine.

Based on NOAA records, the year 2024 holds the record for the most 110 °F days in Phoenix history. There were 70 days with a high temperature of at least 110 degrees that year.

As of August 7, there have been 28 days this year where the high temperature has reached at least 110 degrees Fahrenheit in Phoenix, Arizona.
The last time it reached at least 110° F was today, August 7, 2025.

30 years ago, our record for days over 110 in a single year was 7. But no, nothing's changed.
