We actually won a second period! Perhaps an omen. Seems though that CCT gets their best chances when our defense tries to be either cute or lazy in moving out of the zone. I get the distinct feeling the ref will have something to say soon about evening up the number of penalties called, deserved or not.

Shots so far 24-12 in favor of RPI. Seems like it was a lot more even than that, at least the scoring chances given our numerous defensive breakdowns. But I'll take the 2-1 lead.

Not sure if I can recall a worse crew of officials-not as far as calls made-but positioning so they just do not obstruct the puck and the players. You don't often see pucks hitting officials or players ahving to find theri way around them. Also, who is dropping the puck on faceoffs? Just horrible-sometimes holding the puck for ever and sometimes just tossing it down forcefully.
