The interference call was BS, because the guy hit was the last guy to touch the puck. I didn't quite see the second, so no comment.

Just saw a replay of the second penalty, and that CCT player went down easier than a Cornell player. CLEAR dive.

Actually, you can`t hit the last guy to touch the puck unless you do so immediately after he has given up possession of the puck. Always a tough judgement call as to how quickly you need to nail him after he loses the puck.

If that's the case, then it is the most inconsistent call in all of the ECAC. It's like trying to define a catch in the NFL. Of course, the Supreme Court ruled that sporting events can be rigged...

While waiting for the second period my American friends might be interested in the big hockey debate going on in Canada today. The gold medal Olympic game is early tomorrow morning (as early as 4 am on the West Coast) and the various provincial governments have given special approval for bars to open early and to serve alcohol. The debate isn`t whether or not that is appropriate. The debate is ``do I wake up early and go to the bar, or just start drinking now and stay up late`. I`m old enough that I`ll have to pass on that and just wake up early with a pot of coffee.
