Anybody know the list of candidates to replace George Roll? I'd put Ron Rolston & Jim Roque on teh list for sure. Who else has expressed an interest?

Re: Clarkson coaching search

According to the beat writer for the Watertown Dailey Times Cap Carey

Casey Jones Not Interested
Ron Rolston Probably Not Interested
Derek LaLonde Denver assistant has applied
Phil Roy Former Clarkson Player and Merrimack Assistant
Mark Taylor Hobart Head Coach

And get this Mark Morris former Clarkson coach.

Incorrect
Correct
Correct
Correct
Incorrect

...and finally.....correct!

Re: Clarkson coaching search

From what I understand, Rolston may have had a change of heart and former assistant JF Houle may be throwing his hat into the ring.

Add former player and Asst. Coach J.F. Houle to the mix.

Re: Clarkson coaching search

They still don't have a coach, and all the other ECAC teams now have a coach. My thought: Why would a coach want to work for a school that's going to dump the coach simply for having a couple losing seasons, especially in today's economy where job security is of the utmost importance? I wouldn't be surprised if they were stuck with an assistant as interim by August.

Re: Clarkson coaching search

Over on the Clarkson board the apparent interviewees are:

Frank Anzalone
J. F. Houle
Derek Lalonde
Bob Mancini
Mark Morris
Phil Roy
Mark Taylor
and either Jim Roque or Ron Fogarty

For a few on there I'll have to step back and have a chuckle.

I hope Bob Mancini and Frank Anzalone coach together what a combo

RPI found a coach. The Fridge had a 20+ season win followed by 2 losing season's in a row and you blew him out. So, get over the amnesia. Job security? Well that is called a contract, get it?

That's cool; I just hope your administration takes our lead and is patient through a few years of rebuilding, should you guys continue to be in the doldrums for a couple years. As much as we like beating you guys, I'd rather see it as well earned, rather than because you keep rotating coaches and can't get a system in place.

Whomever is the coach, is going to have to live with the recruits for this year. Which means I don't expect a heck of a lot.

Sometime in the next 4 years, I expect to have a winning record in March.

He wasn't inerested in another contract. His departure isn't as one way as you think!

Re: Clarkson coaching search

I am sure Rolly is the favorite. I too am shocked at how slow this whole process has moved. There are also some assistant coaching positions open...Princeton (2), Providence (1), Union (1). They need to hire a current head guy or an associate. This program has been a mess since they framed Mark Morris:)
