Clarkson 2012-13

Re: Clarkson 2012-13

Thanks. I checked that out. I am glad they have the weekend off to get healthy for the big matchup with Cornell in Potsdam on the 30th. I'll be making that game one of my trips up this season.

Re: Clarkson 2012-13

#2 Lady Knights keep on plugging along beating #3 Cornell 2-1 at Cheel Arena! Can't rest on th their laurels as Colgate comes to town tomorrow.

At least there doesn't appear to be any new injuries from the Cornell game so they will have a nearly full squad for Colgate. If they play that killer instinct game we have seen so often this year they will run away with this game though. Look for multiple goals from the Mercer-Styner-Rattray line in this one.

While you are a definite favorite, Colgate has shown some recent signs of improvement. Losing by three to Harvard was a gain over the drubbing Cornell put on the Raiders. Colgate tied Dartmouth and had a third-period lead at SLU before giving up a couple of PP goals. If the Golden Knights let down after a huge win last night, they could wind up in a much closer game than expected.

Spot on Arm. Colgate wins 2-1.

Re: Clarkson 2012-13

Goaltending for Colgate was the difference for sure. A slow start for the Lady Knights but they easily outplayed Colgate the last 2 periods. A tough loss that hopefully they take as a lesson moving forward and hopefully doesn't come back to hurt them at the end of the year when they are close in points with Cornell and Harvard

Re: Clarkson 2012-13

Clarkson did not deserve to win that game, pathetic first period, followed up with a mediocre second period. Had they played with the urgency they did in the third period, the outcome would have been different. They needed to be humbled and they were, glad it was early in the season and hopefully they learn from it.

Re: Clarkson 2012-13

Big win For Clarkson over #2 Harvard at Cheel last nite 3-1 Mercer scoring all three for Clarkson! Dartmouth next.. LGT!

Re: Clarkson 2012-13

And the ladies of CCT do not disappoint with a 5-0 white wash of the Green. Mercer with another goal (Her 4th of the weekend) as well as Gagnon, MacAulay (2) and Styner (SH)

Erica Howe with the 22 save shutout and this weekend became the winningest Goalie in Clarkson Women's Hockey history
Jamie Lee Rattray with 5 assists this weekend over the 2 games surpassed 100 career points

Re: Clarkson 2012-13

I only watched the 1st period of the Dartmouth game and Ambrose was playing.
