CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

Thoughts and prayers are with the UAH community. This is just horrible, I can't believe the husband actually aided her in this.

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

Canceled outright? Or moved to a later date?

I presume that either 1) they'll make up the game in two weeks when we go back to NU or 2) they won't make it up because it likely won't matter in the standings or 3) we'll see a four-point game that next weekend at Niagara.

Haven't called or emailed DC to see if the boys are coming home tonight/tomorrow. Expect that they are, though. I know our guys that stayed here are pretty shook up, as you'd expect.

Doug, I was wondering about your daughter. I'm so glad that she's safe. I knew all three faculty by face, and one reasonably well. This is just ... awful.

Yeah, you would think they would be after something like that. Any word on them knowing about it before the game tonight or did the word get there too late for them to know and the powers that be just decided to not tell them until after the game??

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

Nice 5-2 win by the beavers tonight, they lost their 2-0 lead and bobby mo ties it at 2 until the beavers started playing their game and pulled away in the 3rd. It will be interesting to see what happens with the beavers goalie situation since it sounded like bakala played terrible friday night and dugas played very sound tonight. Looking forward to next weekend and the last games in the GLAS!!

I don't know if the boys found out before the game or not. Given that it made national news, I expect that they knew. The guys that didn't make the trip did find out as they were on campus. I don't know if they texted any of the guys on the trip or not. Given when it went down, the team was already at the arena as it happened.

I started to call Danton but chose not to do so.

Thoughts and prayers for everyone in Huntsville. So sorry to hear of the situation.

God Bless

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

Okay, so here's what's happening:

1. Because UAH is closed all this week, Friday's game against RoMo moves to Sunday afternoon. 3:05 start Saturday, 1:05 Sunday to get the Colonials back on the trip home. THANK YOU to Derek Schooley and company for being flexible in our time of crisis.

2. The NU game will be made up on Sunday next weekend; yes, a three-game series. It'll be like juniors.

Wow, my heart and thoughts go out to the UAH community. I can't even begin to imagine that whole episode.

I just went through the BREC Seating Selection! Took about five minutes by phone and was painless! Four seats for next year are now in our family. And we will be using all four of them!

Congrats!?

Where did you get your seats?

My brother and I are still undecided where to get our seats. We will be getting 6 seat though.

Section HH, Row 8, Seats 3-6. Right on the aisle and in the front row of the "upper" deck. They will have seven rows in a lower bowl and eight rows in the upper bowl. Section HH is in the corner just inside the main doors to the event center. The only bad thing is that it will be at the end the opponent shoots at twice, but with the family, I didn't want to be right next to the students.

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

I spoke with Pam Papp at the BSU ticket office a short while ago, and this Saturday's game (the last ever at the Glas) is officialy a sell-out, and ~100 remain for Friday. Don't wait if you want to go this weekend! Call the BSU ticket office at (218) 755-3993 or toll-free at (877) 3-HOCKEY now.

edit - congrats Millsy!

First off...If you're in Bemidji, pick up a Bemidji Pioneer today. There is a 20-page section on the closing of the John Glas Fieldhouse. Very good stuff!

Secondly...on Sports in the Round tonight, RH Peters, Tom Serratore, Marla Patrias (BSU Alumni Association) and Joel Otto are our scheduled guests at the Ground Round. We'll be on from 6p-8p on 92.1...and online at http://wmisfm.com

Millsy, was it easy to do over the phone? Did they provide a seating chart with seats taken already?

Anyone looking for tickets for Friday - check out Craig's List/Bemidji/Tickets - I have good seats available for Friday.

Sounds like a good show tonight - thanks for podcasting for those of us not able to listen tonight.

It was very easy to do. About an hour before my call, they e-mailed me a seating chart with the seats labeled, by name, that were taken. Kind of nice if you want to sit near someone or not near someone. I had some time to look at the chart for seats in the area my wife and I wanted, and it took about five minutes.

Brian, I can't wait to listen to that show tomorrow at work. Sounds like a great lineup!

And thanks for the congrats gmann, Geof and Moose. Another fan of the Green and White on the way!
