Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

Splits for all.

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

I'm going to be optimistic and predict a split for Bemidji.
Three points for RMU.
Split for Niagara.

The Hockey Show is back after over a month off:

http://thehockeyshow.blogspot.com

Relatively new BSU fan here (casual fan since 2004-2005, following much more closely this season).

Moose, you and Scott do an awesome job on The Hockey Show. For those of us a thousand miles from Bemidji, listening to The Hockey Show and KKBJ online are the only real ways to keep up with the team. Thanks!!

RMU @ Colgate (2): RMU sweep
BSU v UMD (2)(H&H): BSU Sweep

Radio - Funny you should bring this up as this past weekend I was cleaning some files on my computer when I ran across the spreadsheet I used for my team (The Demons) and shed a little tear as I sent it to the trash... If you want to reminisce a little, here is a CHA Fantasy Hockey thread.

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

This week's The Hockey Show is now available about the BSU/UMD series:

UAH fans will want to listen for Bruce McLeod's comments (last question) on the future of the Charger program...

Good to hear about Bowling Green's program staying put. That should help UAH. Sounds like UAH is being really aggressive to get in the CCHA - good deal.

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

Friday Night in the CHA:
NU 6 - QU 2: Looks like the Purps put one on QPac even though they were outshot almost 2-1... Q put 49 SOG's on net and only got 2 through.

RMU 1 - Colgate 4: Looks like the Raiders definitely had Bobby Mo's number tonight... better luck tomorrow.

UMD 1 - BSU 4:
The Glas had to be rockin' tonight as the Beavs put a lickin on the Dogs... They move to the Dog's house for tomorrow night... Will the Beavs keep rollin' or will the Dog's get back on track??? Stay tuned...

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

Feeling a lot more confident about the Beavers' chances tomorrow. They were VERY impressive tonight! It will be dang tough, but I think the Beavers will put up a great fight in Duluth. Go Beavers!!

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

One of the loudest crowds i have ever been a part of at the glas!

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

just a thought and a prayer to any traveling BSU or UMD fans for the series. May a salt truck guide you on your quest.

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

I need to know something about overtime and points. When a game goes to overtime do both teams get a point if no one scores in overtime? And if there is a shoot out such as the CCHA how do they assign points?

Thanks.

No points in non-conference games, you can say if you had a win and a tie "we picked up 3 points this weekend", but they don't count toward anything, only conference games count. Only shootouts for points in the CCHA, and i think if a team plays a CCHA team, like the Beavs vs Northern Michigan, and W. Michigan? they can have a exhibition shootout like they did vs W. Michigan, but not vs Northern Michigan, but no points for that. I would guess as far as how the CCHA assigns points, probably like the NHL, where each team gets a point at the end of OT, and they play for the extra one. NCAA recognizes CCHA shootout results as ties because they are the only conference who uses it, i would hope all of D1 goes to SO, but we'll see.

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

Saturdat Night in the CHA:

BSU 5 - UMD 4 OT: Looks like the Beavs have got it back on track as they broke out the brooms and humbled the Dogs!!! 4 points to the Greenies.

NU 3 - QU 3: The Purps and QPac skate to the tie thanks to a 3rd period rally by the Purps. The Eagles got 3 of the 4 points on the weekend.

RMU 3 - Colgate 3: Bobby Mo hung in with the lead until less than a minute to go. The Raiders get the 3 points in this matchup.
