That's right! What High school team do you play this weekend? Oh wait, high school teams are better. Don't worry your season ends next Saturday

Re: CHA Thoughts and Predictions '10-'11

If we're going to start "thoughts and predictions" for 11-12 I'm putting all my money on RMU having yet another losing year. Obviously the approach of "let's give it time" is not working. After this year they are actually going backwards! 6 wins all year??? That should NOT be coming from a program in its 6th year. Mercyhurst continues to dominate, Niagara recognized a need for a change and has seen quick results within 2 years under new leadership, Syracuse made a top 10 appearance in only its second year in play. Wayne State... well that one I can't explain although they have had their winning years. Am I missing something?

Re: CHA Thoughts and Predictions '10-'11

Next year will be different because of all the seniors that are gone from Mercyhurst. Seeing who will be the best player in the conference will be interesting. Don't know about what the other teams will look like but I'm thinking Niagara and Syracuse will improve and Robert Morris and Wayne State will still be at the bottom.

Re: CHA Thoughts and Predictions '10-'11

IMHO, it appears that Niagara, RMU, and Cuse all need a legitimate goal scorer... A game breaker. The kind of player that it is easily attracted to the perennial (almost) championship schools. Question is... How do they present/pitch their programs to the recruits?

Re: CHA Thoughts and Predictions '10-'11

That's Niagara biggest problem they play a defensive game but can never score cause they don't have that one person that can score. What I really hope for next season or the season after that is they change the conference to go with the men's atlantic conference it's already being ran by them. Now if they could get RIT women's team to move up to D1 then this conference would have 6 teams and have an automatic bid. I just wish there was better competition in this conference, but teams in this conference aren't going to get good players or the top end players cause the facilities aren't that impressive. No one wants to play when there's only 200 people at the games, and when the rink only holds 500.

I would suggest that both the Cuse and RMU both already have a legitimate goal scorer. It takes more than just a goal scorer to have a succesfull team.

Re: CHA Thoughts and Predictions '10-'11

Everyone in this conference needs a lot of different things to be better. Hopefully next season all of the teams improve and it would be nice to see RMU win more than 6 games. Hurst is having a big turn on players. I can't wait for next season to see what everyone can do.

Please re-read my post... I wasn't suggesting that a single goal scorer makes a team, but rather a team like Niagara has everything but a goal scorer. Also, how does CHA teams attract recruits away from Wisconsin, UMD, etc...

Oh... I see you are from Ontario.

Re: CHA Thoughts and Predictions '10-'11

Thanks for your feedback.... Yes, it would be great if the CHA could have another team.

Re: CHA Thoughts and Predictions '10-'11

We anticipate changes or imminent player movement will change the dynamic of SU for the coming year

Re: CHA Thoughts and Predictions '10-'11

What does this mean for the CHA now were back to what it was before Cuse started it sucks to hear about them cutting the team. It's going to be hard for those players to find teams now hopefully everything works out for everyone. Fetter got screwed out of everybody he should be able to get a head coaching job somewhere maybe he goes to RMU now that their head coach is now at the Ohio State

Re: CHA Thoughts and Predictions '10-'11

Sorry to hear about wayne state! But side note: for the most dominate player, i really think that Bram will step up and dominate every game. She is a solid player but never got the credit she deserved because of the force of Scanzano, Agosta and Bendus. Now that they are gone i think that she will really break out of her shell and dominate the CHA
