I saw that there was a thread already started for CCHA playoff predictions. I figured I would still start this thread for those who have participated in the CCCP weekly picks this year and anyone else who wants to participate.

The CCHA Playoffs begin this weekend. As you know the top four places received a first round bye. The bottom eight will play and will reseed for the next rounds. Your picks must represent who goes on to the next round regardless of who they face. Points will be awarded for each correct pick in that round. Tiebreakers will be total goals in the finals and then in the consolation game. Please submit your choices by naming the winners for each round.

Curious, do the people with the "bye" still have to submit picks before this weekend, or do we get to sit this weekend out and start up next week. Tom Anastos was nice enough to present me with the CCCP trophy the same night at the Goggin he gave Miami the CCHA. :D

We did this two years ago and it was pretty cool, any way to get this going on as well?

The second CCCP Playoff is a head to head competition between the top twelve finishers over the regular season. We'll run this just like the CCHA Playoffs. The top four receive a bye this week while 5 vs. 12, 6 vs. 11, 7 vs. 10, and 8 vs. 9. Winners of round 1 will be reseeded and play against the first four seeds. Semifinals will be reseeded with highest remaining seed vs. lowest remaining seed, etc.

Winners will be determined as follows:
1. Most correct winning teams in the round
2. Most correct number of games played in the round (round 1 & 2 only)
3. Most correct total goals predicted
4. Closest to total goals scored
5. under total goals > over total goals
6. Coin toss

The posters involved for round one are:

Looks like we had some ties this year in points and I'm not sure the overall records to break them, but still a cool idea.

If you want to start and run another thread as a playoff system for the regular season results, I think that would be the best way to do it. It is a pretty cool idea.

I just wanted to have this thread so that anyone who wanted to participate could.

We just did it in the same thread before, thats why I was confused with the bye earlier because I thought it was the same way. Looks like some of the top 12 already put in their picks. In case there was a tie, we'd just need goals in each series predictions from

I am confused...so did I make the playoff cut or not? I'm guessing no, but should i erase the picks from earlier in this thread?

I'd say everyone play for fun, but "official" results for conference only results. My 2 cents.
